Why so cheap? 6950XT

I picked up one of these last week, no coil wine, great card.

Sold the code on the MM for £30 so total was £560. Was weighing up second hand but no guarantee and the possibility of it having been mined on put me off.

Just taken 15th spot on the firestrike ultra bench with it (albeit likley temporarily)

It's basically clearance. But they do come with the power draw of a top tier card so you need to make sure you've got a decent enough PSU as well. Decent enough card for the money assuming you don't mind that though.
 
The 6950XT is not cheap really. It might have come out in 2022 but the technology is from 2020 when the 6900XT was released.

The 7900XT is only £150 more, which is where my money went. This is not to say there is anything wrong with the 6950XT.
 
Yeah as above AMD's reference card cracking card if anything its a little bit too expensive arguably.
The coolers are great my son has the 6750XT AMD and its a great 1440p card for his dual monitor needs.

4gb extra vram, AI cores and 15% greater performance and more likely to come with better driver optimisations-7900xt every time.
