I quite like it, makes it easier to spot the EVs
Saw a Born without a green plate on the A1(M) and thought it was a Leon until I got a lot closer
I added a subtle light bar to my Leaf - but wouldn't touch anything that would classify it as 'modified'.
I think we could likely get away with only charging it once a week - possibly longer. With such big range, it's more like driving a petrol/diesel than my Leaf where you're always wanting to top it up.

Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion and besides it is fully optional for now so you do not have to have it .... but given its no skin off my nose to have the green mark on, even if only 1 in 10 firefighters think its useful to quickly ID a car as an EV before touching it (it does not necessarily need to be on fire) then that is good enough for me.
(now if you want to talk about it being some form of virtue signalling for having a "green" EV, then i am with you 100%).

like I said I wasn't discounting your view. the smiley was meant to show I wasn't being entirely serious . clearly you feel different and that is fine but it is no skin off my nose and if some people (not all) feel happier if cars with batteries make it clear they have them then am happy to oblige.

I have wanted an EV for some time and am loving mine but I agree. if I could not charge at home or at work personally I would not be getting one yet.
That's a shame, because I've still got the Leaf and expect I'll be driving it more than the Q8. It's a more appropriate car for the majority of my daily use. I don't need a 335bhp 4x4 to do the school run. In fact, in the tight little school car park, it's a real hindrance.
