Yes, the exodus you now to refer to was wrong but please note that some of this exodus was not forced. Some of it was voluntary migration to the newly formed Israeli state by the UK which was created to give Jewish people a safe country and one to call their own due to mass persecution after WW2.

Yes, some of it was forced and this was wrong but isn't this what Israelis are carrying out in the West Bank just now and forcing the Palestinians out?

That's the issue I have with the whole thing as my very first post in this thread stated... The hypocrisy of the Israelis is crazy. They were given land but they aren't happy with that. They now want to take over more land and to hell with the native population.

You know, the same people that have cultivated a worldwide impression as being mercilessly persecuted since time began to the point where, if you disagree with anything they say/do now, it's touted as anti-semetic...

Ottomans moved in the modern day Palestinians, Brits kicked out the ottomans and were left to run the place by the equivalent of the UN who were in effect the people that decided to give it to the Jews. 3 successive plans were drawn up, each giving less land to the Jews and the Jews said yes each time, the Arabs said no. When the final day came and the Brits moved out, all the Arabs attacked and lost. It was the repeated attempts that lost them further.

The six day war saw Gaza, Sinai and West Bank taken over. Israel tried to give Gaza back to Egypt and West Bank back to Jordan, but neither took them back (they were in charge of them upto this point). Leaving Israel responsible for them.

The people taking land in the west bank are recognised by most as extremists, but with the far right government in place it's past over.

Past year has seen tens of thousands attending weekly protests against the government in many cities. This was however is exactly what they needed to ensure they likely stay in power for longer.

I don't believe anyone owes anything to anyone. It's in the past. Time to move on to a better future.

Yes it was **** but we can't be held responsible for our forefathers' behaviours. Everyone/every culture has been the subject to discrimination of some kind. What we are empowered to do is not let it be a thing of the future.

I am a lefty that believes that cultures should thrive but that countries and power shouldn't exist and the world should be free.

I believe that Palestine is always painted as the aggressor and that Israel is always painted the victim and there absolutely no appetite for integrating. There are chips on everyone's shoulders but some people are unable to let go of them.

Your original post suggested that the state of Isreal shouldn't exist. Canaanites are relevant because it's literally where Jewish people lived for thousands of years. So where should the jewish people have exiled to? Voluntary exodus? got to be kidding, all the synagogues were destroyed and turned into mosques. Still not many synagogues in muslim countries to this day, in fact the first purpose built synagogue in 100 years erected in a muslim country happened in the last couple of years, mainly due to the Abraham Accords. Plenty of mosques in Isreal though, google suggests 400 of them.

They seem to have captured a fair bit of hardware from tanks to APC's

Wonder what Hezbollah & Iran are planning while this is going on, surely Hamas aren't going to try it alone ?
