When they first came out i tried an air fryer and just didnt get along with it. Cant really say why, just didnt like it and didnt get good food from it.

What are peoples opinions on them ?

Should i try again?

I have a 2 bay Costco one and use it for every meal if I can. Much superior to pre-heating the oven and typically provides a great cook with the added bonus of a shorter cook time.

Was an earlier adopter of them years ago and thought they were pretty dreadful at the time, but think they have come on leaps and bounds.

I enjoy mine, but I only cook for two people so more often than not it's much easier and quicker than using my main oven to cook.

Our Ninja (air fryer / steamer / pressure cooker) is excellent and extremely flexible, range cooker only gets used once a week now.

Yes, normal oven only gets used for stuff that won't fit in it these days. It gets used for pretty much every single meal.

My kids like to use it instead of the oven as they can set the timer and temp. I have 2 drawer ninja.

I use our Ninja all the time. You can get very similar cooking with a fan assisted over, however the air fryer is up to temperature in seconds. Most things I cook in it would be fully cooked before the main oven would even reach full temperature.

I have an Instapot Duo 7 in 1 steamer with an air fryer addon. So turns it into a small fan assisted oven. Good for 2 peeps and can then make a pretty decent New York style cheesecake!

i only use my one for home made chips mostly after ditching the deep fat fryer about 8 years back.

also do sausages sometimes.

never used one for cooking anything else but i find it fine for my usage.

Yes, it's a great bit of kit for heating up a lot of stuff. Of course it will not be enough for a roast dinner but for some chicken or a jacket potato it does well and quickly.

I got a cheapish Salter one a year back and i hate it, everything tastes funny and it still has the new oven smell when used despite the wife using it quite a few times and cleaning it really thoroughly, I thought it'd be ok being a make i'd heard of but clearly not.

I feel i should get a better one but after such a bad experience with this one i really cant be bothered.

I've got a 6L Ninja and barely use it. It's only big enough to cook about half of a meal for one, so impractical for most things.

It cooks a decent roast chicken though
