it's the 22kw I was interested in. I know both my cars have 11kw (albeit the i3 only has a 7kw cable I think - bizarrely 2 of them (and a granny) however)All 11kW will have L1,L2,L3. It’s 16A per phase
My apologies, yes all 3phase will have the 3 Live pins. All 11kW will have L1,L2,L3. It’s 16A per phase
Yeh got that bit. Just the pins are the same for 11 or 22.it's the 22kw I was interested in. I know both my cars have 11kw (albeit the i3 only has a 7kw cable I think - bizarrely 2 of them (and a granny) however)
Why do you need 22kW. It’s not fast enough for public and most are charged overnight or in a work car park where 7kW is enoughMy revised shortlist is 2021 Kona, e-Niro, Renault Megane with 22kW charging. Other nice-to-haves would be 4 wheel drive and cabin preheating via an app.
There's a few things that would really help EVs, 22kW charging as standard is one, as that would be the sweet stop for time/charge I think.
The other is more EV chargers of course, they are increasing/improving. Where possible an EV charger should have 2 spaces, one of the person charging and one for the next person waiting. The charger should have a big display showing charge time left.
The other big issue is the greed of EV charger providers, since we all know the true cost of electric, seeing the price premium is marked up so high is fairly depressing, but you know, capitalism I guess. Over time the supply and demand will be meet and costs will come down eventually, or there will be some kind of public outcry and regulation.
What do you think will be the eventual up take of EVs, 10 years, 20 years from now? I guess eventually there will no longer be ICE cars, or (expensive) biofuel maybe.
I would say that gives a good enough charge in an hour if you're at gym or supermarket etc. 1 or 2 of those per week is all that most people would need. But yeah better to charge at home on drive of course. Why do you need 22kW. It’s not fast enough for public and most are charged overnight or in a work car park where 7kW is enough
I'm surprised that the self proclaimed charging police, sorry, those pushing "charger etiquette" haven't come up with some way if reserving your turn on the charger. Like the old 50p on the pool tableMy revised shortlist is 2021 Kona, e-Niro, Renault Megane with 22kW charging. Other nice-to-haves would be 4 wheel drive and cabin preheating via an app.

Now they just have to open the chargers up to all non-Tesla owners! My ex used to live not all that far from Merry Hell, sadly it's a bit far for me now. But yes, ideal time to charge, somewhere you'll be for about an hour.Tesla have the charging side of things nailed on, I noticed my local shopping centre (merry hell) now has Tesla SC's. They are very well priced aswell.

But then it’s expensive. You will tend to charge the cheapest based on experienceI would say that gives a good enough charge in an hour if you're at gym or supermarket etc. 1 or 2 of those per week is all that most people would need. But yeah better to charge at home on drive of course.
even with only 7.4kw ac at home if you are with ovo you can have 8 hours to fully recharge at 10p/kwh.There's a few things that would really help EVs, 22kW charging as standard is one, as that would be the sweet stop for time/charge I think.
