I spent 2+ hours at the BMW dealership on the weekend, I was convinced I was going to buy/order the M2 but hadn't seen one in person and I knew it was very marmite.

The dealer had 2, one in red with the Pro pack interior and the light blue with the normal seats.

When I first saw it I thought, that's nice, don't know why people don't like it. Thing is the more time I spent there the more I disliked it. I didn't like the front as it just looks unfinished and I couldn't decide on the back it looked OK from certain heights but not others. It also didn't help that they couldn't open the boot on either car as they had both "died".

So although I loved the interior with the Pro kit I just couldn't live with the looks of it. Like you said colour is sensitive, I didn't like the Red but actually thought the baby blue was OK, think if I had ordered one it would have been in Black.

So I'm now going to go with my other choice which was the Audi RS3 in Kyalami Green :)

It really is a marmite car, the more I see mine the more I like it lol!

Hi there

My other half has edited and uploaded the footage from my last track day last year in the 600 LT:



The day went mega smooth, which I think can be seen in my driving been so smooth and relaxed, I really had a good lick of speed on this day and was not even pushing the car as was doing a bit of coasting in areas I could be flat, still on the day it was un-matched was even pedalling quicker than the 675 LT driver. As always totally flawless, zero issues with the car and overall a fantastic day.

The best is probably session 6, maybe not for speed but a mate got in with me so there is some feedback from him as he owns an Exige.
 
Not very good in many, many ways but I'm having fun driving it around the mountains before I sell it on.

Not really min now, but I loved this pic from the new owner of the Cedric. Was a lovely car but I really need isofix on whatever I get next, thinking of an imported ISF again. Anyway, 2 great chaps from Prague collected this after some interesting calls with Border Patrol at Glasgow Airport. They were just as into JDM as I am, so we got on brilliantly. They loved the car, drove it to Newcastle then all the way back to Prague, epic.

Usual story, I see a wee pic like this and miss it. However, the new search is on. Thought Id share the comedy pic even though its not really mine anymore.

The Cedric I assumed would blend in, but Ive never seen a car or owned a car that got so much attention.

Ive used various over the years but I ended up sticking with Pacific Coast JDM. Just easy to deal with mate

I do everything this end, they do the auction bit and bid on my behalf in Japan, arrange inland transport to the docks etc

Im generally buying cheaper end stuff so I dont need higher costs for inspections etc. So far so good, not had a dud yet. Famous last words

interesting! thanks for sharing.

how difficult is it uk port wise? to pay the taxes/collect the car? can it all be done "online" or does it need special accounts etc to sort through the taxes/fees before the car is released?

Easy yeah. I use an agent at the port, they sort all the paperwork and pay the taxes for me. Their fee is quite low and it takes the annoying bit away, only £100 or so.

Once all fees are paid, it's released from the port and you can arrange collection

Whatever you do NEVER EVER use 'JapWestMods' the guy is a known convicted con artist ****!

There's countless threads about him stealing parts/selling stuff not as described/ripping people off/lying/having to go to court, you name it, he's also a tax dodger that's been done for that and loves to change the company name/ownership/close/open it as something else...

He acts all nice/helpful in people like MonkyLondon's YT videos but he is far far from it!

yeah I'm aware of him, he's quite local to me so people know. I nearly bought something from him but funny enough he never responded.

these team dynamics are just winter wheels, I've got a set of Weds Kranze Bazrea that I rebuilt recently to go on it when the weather improves, don't want them ruined in the winter. These look okay and tyres have got meat on them but that's it.

seen the S13 front end before, very cool!

Yeah I know so many people he's screwed over in the drift/grip scene.

Ah thank god, love me some weds (hence the suggestion of kranze haha) that looks perfect like that.
I really like this generation as the whole front end is very 2004 type s accord/euro-r 'ish <3

Haha you mean you've seen the Ody front on the PS13 not the other way round ;)

I think he's well known in the "scene" to be a problem/difficult.

that's the one lol. I saw my mistake but couldn't bothered correcting it.. haven't had my jdm breakfast juice yet.
