Didnt see a thread for this but I've just been playing the demo and this is superb, this is the RTS I've been waiting for , for decades, since the heyday of RTS. AI is pretty good in this too and the maps are enormous. If you at all like modern warfare, combined arms RTS, then I highly recommend you check out the demo, this has gone straight onto my wishlist.

I enjoyed the demo for the most part. Gave me world in conflict vibes. The performance was dreadful though, but hopefully that will be sorted.

There was one thing I wasn't keen on, was how after you had amassed your units to take the fort, the next stage of the mission reset what forces you had at the fort. I had a ton of units in and around there, but they all vanished into thin air once the beach assault started.

Another early access game similar, although more large scale is Warno which I picked up in the steam sale a couple of days ago. Only really skirmish mode available at the moment, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Just stumbled across the latest play test for this (running until 19/02/24) and can't believe more of you guys aren't talking about this.

I love this game and I've only really played the single player demo and a little bit of the multiplayer. I cannot wait until the full release.

Have you played Warno?

That's similar to Broken Arrow albeit slightly earlier timeline.

I've not played Warno yet, I've had it on my wish list for years but haven't got round to buying it yet. Looks good though.

It's definitely worth a go. It seems to get updated quite regularly during its early access, and it's keeping the itch scratched waiting for Broken Arrow :D

It will have once finished. Similar to their Wargame series of games.

In its current state it has skirmish battles against AI or multiplayer. 2 game modes -
One is basically hold areas to accumulate deployment points and the other is rack up points by destroying more stuff than your opponent.

A few single player individual missons with objectives to accomplish.

Then they've just released an update that includes their first 'Army General' mode which is a bit like total war where you move battalions on a map in turn based then fight in RTS on a map for the sectors.
 
I'd love another RTS that clones the online mode from World In Conflict.

quick 20 minute long battles, 8v8 and the ability to call in nukes etc with points

The new Army General mode is still in its infancy at the moment. There is a play through on youtube here -
