You could probably do the same on credit with a GPU. You're probably better off with streaming services these days if your situation is so bad you can't afford outright though.
If they can get enough companies to support it that is, then it's a cheaper solution. Especially once standalone low latency 5G is a thing in most developed countries, and gigabit internet is the norm, also lots of people are put off by past experiences testing this stuff out not realising the massive improvements that have taken place. If they can get it to a point where image quality is close to indistinguishable that'll be the transition point for many.

Been there, doing that, 3 kids later….. My advice, if you enjoy, don’t let it go. Kids are hard work and you need some quality me time when you can get it.
I'd suggest a handheld tbh. Seems like the perfect use case for a deck. The suspend feature allows you to drop and resume at a moments notice.

Completely agree with this. You'll definately need me time. My me time is pc, guitars and mountain bikes, neither are cheap hobbies but without them my kids would have driven me insane years ago!
