After further inspection this is the info: So 2844 @ Delta 50.

Honestly that scares the crap out of me. I love how his so called mate is "holding" the ladder, like he will make a whole lot of difference if it goes.

Other than that it looks pretty safe to me.....I did just fall out of our loft 2 weeks ago and went for a tumble down the stairs on Monday so who am I to talk eh!

Looking great Ace, I to am cursed with an artexed hallway.

Grey is the new Avocado!

5 of the 6 new doors have been fitted.

The last door, my joiner said could not be used as its a CORE door and he cannot trim it down to the size needed. I have ordered the same door but in solid pine which allows him to cut it down to what is needed. The joiner is coming back next week to fit the last door, once it has been delivered on Monday.

Currently I still need to sand down the door frames, bannister and skirting boards, ready for painting the new doors (and the one pine door will need to be primered and then painted also).
Then walls need painting and finally new carpet.

Overall I'm happy with the results so far.

Looks dangerous but surely the only direction it can slip is surely towards the camera?
In which case he'd be better off walking around the corner bit and holding it from the other side

The whole photo seems setup though, whats the reason for the guy being on a ladder? seems there is none.

Update as of today.

The walls need 1 final coat of paint, the wood work needs the grey matte gloss paint - its only got the undercoat primer done so far.
The lights need taking down and the new ones we have putting up.
The carpet needs replacing.
The doors need priming and painting.
The new rad needs fitting.
The new light switches and power sockets need fitting.

But as it stands it is starting to look good.

Our first house was a terrace in Leigh , Lancashire. We decorated throughout and the hall, stairs and landing was a nightmare, I remember it well. We wallpapered the whole lot in a patterned paper of small red and yellow flowers. I think that ignorance was bliss and we had very little money. The whole upstairs had only one power socket for lights and tools but a power strip helped.

The maximum drop on the paper worked out at almost 5m as the room height was about 2.8m. A variable leg step ladder and a youngman board did most of the access work but in the
end it was a very good job and I was proud that we did all the decorating ourselves on a tight budget.

Looks much better, that's a very weird looking banister though! Must pre-date the building regs as those gaps look far too wide.

probably strong spindles though, if you've ever tripped down the stairs with modern small spindles - now have a few loose ones, and surprised they didn't break;
I'd thought there seemed few fixings on his new wallside rail, although you'd grab for the right tripping down.

Looks nice, yeah those spindles will be pre building regs (now max 100mm gap) but fortunately building regs aren't retroactive.
