No, they are just plug and play if "blind deployment" used. Just clips to the frame with sprung steel, make sure you clip them to the top of the panels not upside down to stop water ingress.Question to the Solar Minds - Tigo optimisers, is there anything else i need other than those. i dont need to monitor them, just want them to help the shaded panels in the morning and evening

That's fine, although they're supposedly watertight, the recommendation is still keep the tails end (connectors) lower than the top.i will screw them underneath the panels to the timber ground mount, so i dont need to remove the panels to fit them
