BBC article about this :
www.bbc.co.uk
It was news to me until about 2 weeks ago when I got an email about it from Tesco.
Need to pick 10 categories (upto) and then had spend limits applied to each one to get bonus points.
I am pretty rigid with our shopping so wont really succumb to this offer. Maybe a few top ups if close at the end.
Most of the categories I selected are things that are non-perishable, such as cat food etc so no biggie if I have to buy an extra pack or so since I would have been buying anyway.
But I can 100% see some people falling for this and buying stuff that ends up out of date, or wasted as excess.
As ever I see it as an opportunity for me to beat them as opposed to the opposite.
Bring on your challenges I say

Warning supermarket loyalty 'challenges' could cause overspending
Consumer groups say the latest loyalty promotions could encourage shoppers to go over budget.
