Going on a trip soon for a couple of days and we are restricted to an underseat bag for EasyJet (45*36*20cm)

I have my eye on the Cabin Max Memphis but I could do with some real World experiences from people in here as to what they use for weekend/long weekend travel (2-4 days - city breaks and the like)) . Not really needing any wheeled options but must fit the size constraints above and happy to pay up to around £50-£60

Any advice appreciated.

I have an ancient Berghaus 24/7 that I use for under seat. My model is well out of production but various new ones available cheap from go outdoors.

Just starting to give up on me but has been dragged around the world for twenty years, bit sad to replace it if I'm honest!

Any rucksack will do? I like the Nordace ones myself but they can take some time to be delivered IIRC.

Also… depending on your trip, consider sucking up the cost of paying to take a bigger bag.

Something like this has a squareness you want for maximising the space allowed:

It's also got clasps which I really rate for any bag, especially those that have a strap that encircles the entire bag as the last thing you want tis pressure on a zip.

I have an day rucksack with an inbuilt arch and mesh that stops the pack sitting on the back so you don't get a sweaty back but that I normally use (and have used for a overnight to the US causing lots of security questions when you just have a change of shirt, pants and toiletries).

^^

This, I wouldn't bother with a specific backpack.

My wife usually takes a massive beach bag, if they want to argue we can just play the "squash it down" game.
