couch coop xbox games to play with partner

my partner and i usually play couch coop games over this xmas week off. last year we played balders gate 3, both loved it, before we've played lego games, sea of thieves. open to most suggestions , but the main thing is that we really would prefer to be playing on the same screen. we do have access to a decent enough pc, and xbox series x, so could play something coop that's cross platform, but would rather not as pc gaming is not as chill nor together as just relaxing on the sofa together over the xmas week.

Overcooked 2 is always fun BUT do be prepared for some mild shouting at each other when someone has burnt an item or hasn't prepped enough of something lol

This game is divorce material!


Unravel two is a decent co-op and is on sale for less than £3. Was on gamepass at one point not sure if it still is

Went with this over last couple days. Been good fun, though easily complete and I'd like harder puzzles. Had 2 rooms come down to dialing by 2 seconds, so having to take the extension just to click twice to complete

We also have rise of golden idol to play next, though not coop, the first we played together as these types of games are good to have someone to suggest ideas.

Still wanting to play something with a story or where you build towards something over a long time. Something like WOW but on xbox would be good

Let me know what you think of golden idol, I didn't enjoy it, think it was the theming I didn't take to

Thanks but I played 1, 2 and 3, and that when I was about 15. I don't fancy going that far back. I also don't feel they are that interesting to play. Never understood the fuss. Coop was the only good thing about them games and that was because nothing better was available
 
Played through It Takes Two with wifey a year or so ago and am recently playing through it again with my daughter!

Will definitely look into some of the above.
Usual go to's for us for quick games are Worms Armageddon, Worms W.M.D and Overcooked though the latter is incredibly frustrating when playing with the little one!

Worms is an amazing series to play "couch co-op" :)
