Winter Transfer window 24/25

Amorim has a very interesting man management approach. I'm not sure calling your team, even if it's true, the worst team is the clubs history is a wise move. They're the players you ultimately have right now, you have to try and get the best of out of them regardless.
Agreed, not sure this is the thread for it though.

Ye but who provides the forwards as Carragher said in his video you havnt got the service from the wing backs because we havnt got decent ones.

But we could do with a prolific striker to help out.

Sure, but we also struggled under EtH, chance conversion especially

Crazy to think United now have 2 x £90 million plus players "out on loan" - Anthony and Sancho
Least Sancho will be bought at the end of the season though.

No idea whether Antony will perform well enough at Betis for us to get a little more than we’d have got in the summer if he didn’t go on loan. Perhaps he’ll be even worse! :(

It's sounding like Barca is the most likely destination for Rashford (on loan), they just need to find some more cash down the back of the sofa...

Good chance of Garnacho going to Napoli too, £50-60m.

I'm hoping some incoming transfer stories appear soon, all we've got so far is that left back and it's not sounding all that likely at present.

Maybe he means their value now, after years of growing in stature at United?

Thats why its called the United tax I think.

Theres no real starting place for Garnacho in Amorims side so either he goes now or we assume that Amorim isn't going to be around in 2-3 years. Garnacho is good but I would take £60m for him all day. We need money to be able to salvage something out of this season with a couple of transfers. I genuinely think that if we can get in a couple of the right players and get some results strung together the team will be fine until the end of the year. We're just currently in a right pickle with the complete lack of WBs.

I think it'd be huge if Garnacho goes, just from a statement point of view because we've had far too many years of clinging to players in fear of them going elsewhere and doing well

Yep. Well run clubs hang onto star players but even then if they want too much money or aren't putting in a performance consistently then they get moved on. Our MO has been to cling to any scant sign of quality and gimp the team to enable those players to thrive at the expense of everything else.

Isn't that really cheap for Garnacho?

£60m? Not really, it's about what he's worth. He's still inconsistent and there's no guarantee he'll become an elite player.

We'd obviously be paying double that if we wanted to sign him, but most clubs won't...

I've read it effectively frees up £180m worth of PSR spending, as he's home grown. We're going to need that.

Not really. Young player with a lot of potential but doesn't have the best all around game and is quite one dimensional. Good player in a poor United side over the past few seasons. Napoli just sold a much better player for a bit more money.
