Wasn't there something in the news a while ago saying that to earn a million pounds takes x time but to become a billionaire takes so much longer; so much longer that you can't 'earn' a billion pounds so its only by screwing people that you can get there.

Being a millionaire isn't impressive in this day and age. You can be that with a regular salaried job in the right industries for a few years. To become a billionaire you are working as a serious stakeholder/owner of a business and you can't do that at the turnover levels required without being an amoral **** IMO. At that point you are likely beholden to powerful shareholders and your profit needs to go up every year no matter how. You fire the minions when you make crap decisions. You pay your staff as little as you can get away with. You optimise so you don't have to hire people if possible.

You can't behave like this without being of very very dubious moral character.

As ballpark numbers. If you earn around £400 a week, you'll bank a million pounds over your lifetime. To reach a billion pounds, you'd need to earn £400,000 every week for ~50 years.

So you'd need a job paying world class footballers wages, but in a field with a 50 year career!

It is an obscene amount of money for someone to have.

We're absolutely cursed. 2 season ending injured in the last week or so and Mainoo out too apparently. I think we're down to 3 attacking players now.

Sad for the players involved but maybe an opportunity for others. What little expectation there was will now evaporate completely so maybe this does become a free hit. Avoiding relegation the only real challenge. Credibly we have to bring players through from the youth setup as we are skint and won't be able to replace the likes of Eriksen, Casemiro, Evans, Lindelof, Antony, Rashford.

You do have to question the training they have been doing though. Are they just not used to the intensity required? Has Amorim beasted them or is it just bad luck?
