Well tonight's entertainment (according to the wife) is...
Last episode of The Good Ship Murder. Jeez if there has to be an award for the hammiest, cheesiest light drama of the ilk our parents used to watch 40 or 50 years ago that's got to be it. Mandatory song at the end of each episode from the main star.
Death In Paradise. Well it's a little less twee than its Australian spin off, but what sort of "paradise" has a murder every week, with the perpetrator walking in at the end to the police big reveal.
Also watching...
Verdee. Not really sure what to make of that, seems more aimed at the Asian/Indian audience, plus hard to see where the overall story arc is going.
Just started watching Foundation on Apple. Good sci fi effects but the story timeline is jumping around all over the place, hopefully it will start to make sense.
Recently finished Criminal Record also on Apple. Not bad but seemed a bit biased - non white cops and characters good, white cops and characters ne'er do wells. Interesting to see if it gets a second season.
Then the ultimate torture comes tomorrow night, wife watches Call The Midwife. I really hate that show, from the cringy dialogue, to the Doctor who always seems about to burst into tears (and is never wrong), Reggie and of course that pervading piano recital that accompanies the whole proceedings.
