Tabletop Warhammer?

Cheers guys. Am I right in thinking you can use the standard Citadel paints in them? I've bought quite a few

I guess it would probably be worth splashing out the extra, but I'm worried I'm getting a bit ahead of myself as I haven't even put paint to miniature yet, but I feel like If I'm going to get back into it after all these years I want to do it properly :D
Yes you can put Citadel paints through an airbrush as long as you thin them down, the airbrush will save you money as opposed to using rattle cans for priming.

As long as your compressor in your garage is air pressure adjustable use it, you may have to but an adaptor to hook up your airline to the airbrush.

Hope this helps

Thanks mate! Thin them with water I assume? I've seen a couple of youtube videos of people airbrushing miniatures indoors, is this generally ok to do? It would be nice not to have to do it in the garage - although indoors will involve piping my compressor across the garden, doable though I guess :D

I have got an insulated log cabin down the bottom of my garden where I do most of my airbrushing and priming, saying that the last couple of months I have been painting indoors due to how cold it has been.

Temperature is one thing to consider when priming as well, but as there is less overspray with an airbrush I would say indoors is better than in your garage.

For the airbrush its worth getting flow improver, airbrush cleaner (which I normally dilute 50/50 with water) and also airbrush thinners, Vallejo make them round about £10 for a 200ml bottle and yes you can thin the paints with water too, bit of trial and error as you go along.

Very impressed with Firestorm Games, I ordered 10 bottles of Army Painter effects paint yesterday afternoon (my first order with them), Royal Mail have just delivered them ;)

I used Ashdown Gaming to order all my Army Painter Fanatic paints. I wanted about 80 pots. He was the cheapest I could find AND he gave me an extra discount for ordering so many. Way cheaper than the likes of Wayland games.

I get cheapest through my local when I buy through their Wayland trade account. About to purchase an Aeldari army.

Have you tried their washes yet? I’ve been enjoying them so far. Need to try and acquire a popit thingie off the daughter without her noticing to use as a pallet!!

These new emporers children previews are getting me quite hyped over them. Its probably the first real refresh in a while that ive seen that makes me want to break out my usual army bubble and try something new.

I was looking forward to them until I saw the codex, I also thought they made noise marines a bit meh. Can be refreshing to try something new though, that is why I am getting some Aeldari.

Feels like I'm getting somewhere after the disaster with the primmer. From Sunday Iv'e got the models stripped and re-primed and now got the main shoulders colours blocked in.

Trying to streamline my process so I'm more focused and I believe it has helped sitting down and writing down the colour schemes in a note pad. So over the next couple of days I can sit down and just get straight to work.

I've kept the shoulder pads on the models so the shading and highlights make sense instead of painting them off the models. I plan on using liquid mask before moving onto the armour.

TTC with AK thinner wen't through the airbrush like a dream. They slightly longer drying time makes them so much easier to airbrush and this was with the whiteish tones.

They do look awesome and I do like the way they are refreshing the lines. They seem to be making it more streamlined but also giving some awesome unique models. I have a fair idea what I’m building with the Black Templars and will hopefully have an army soon instead of random painted models in the same colours :D

@roman59 it’s an awesome wee set. I picked up the remaining ones when I order the effect paints apart from red and blue but now I’m missing the two shades from the John set.

I’m still bloody tempted by the AP fantic normal paints. Also Amazon seem to be stocking the range now also and even full flexible triads with next day delivery^^

got all the airbrushing done on the PCS and used AK satin to give it a bit of protection. First time I’ve used it and it took a lot of fiddling to get it flowing through the airbrush. Not sure I like the finish but that’s easily fixed.
I didn't even really want it but for 116 I thought, Well that's not bad.
Slightly a bit jealous. Emperors Children are awesome and Fulgrim was one of the best Primarchs before he fell :/ Baldermort’s video on him is fantastic.

I know the jist of the lore but I've not really tried reading too much into it, I know the bare minimum to understand the game lol.

It seems there is a lot of my chaos stuff I cannot use with emperor's children which is fine I guess.
