. Hence the little Samsung NC10 hiding underneath it running good 'ol Win XP has been pressed into service! It works perfectly and I'm so glad I found a use for it because it's been languishing on a shelf for years.

Bought a 15.6" portable monitor to extend the view on the Dell laptop. Serves double duty because the HDMI input accepts the feed from my Tomlov microscope. The reason I aquired a laptop for the electronics bench was for programming and also interfacing with my instruments - only to discover most of the devices (or rather, the software I have for them) simply won't function under Windows 11. Really, really pressed for space on my workbench and it was tricky to arrange everything such that stuff is accessible. I bought a couple of cheap-ish laptop stands and eventually found a way. I don't care if it looks a mess - it works for me.
