*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

6000+ people viewed the Sapphire pulse 9070 today  good luck guys.

If they did some deal on the Nitro+ or other higher end cards then I and many others wouldn't be going for the msrp cards. The difference in price is too much for such a small overclock and questionably 'better' cooling. The maximum they should be charging is a £60 premium.

Yeah true but it could have been a lot worser so suck it up im afraid.

It is only a 60 premium when the pulse goes up to 630.

On a side note I wish there was a private queue for us forum members on these launches XD

You can get FSR4 working in ANY game that has DLSS. Just use the Optiscaler mod.
I have a 3080FE and will be going for one of the msrp cards sinc eI reckon a 30%+ gain is worth it at 1440P. If I can't get one for MSRP then will wait for prices to settle back down in a few months.

If this is true and there are no drawbacks that would be awesome.

These should be some law against this limited msrp ********.

Both Nvidia and amd have done this.

For example the fake discount at launch BS is illegal in the EU/UK

They get out of it because it's an MSRP (Manufacturers **SUGGESTED** Retail Price)

I agree it's absolute ******** but that's how they get around it.

If only AMD had something to challenge the 5090 that would have been awesome.

obviously they have their own reasons for why but I think they missed an opportunity by not releasing a card to sit between 5080 and 4090 and that was probably doable with their RDNA4 architecture. Who know maybe by doubling the current navi48 in the 9070xt they could have competed with the 5090. I think its wise they just concentrate on market share with the mid tier cards, that's where most people buy anyway.

People have been the Optiscaler and various other mods since the launch of FSR3.1 and XeSS. Just checkout the DLSS2FSR discord if you need help with anything.

I don't need it now. But would do if I got a UDNA card when they come out in 1-2 years time.

They probably didn't do it because they thought using over 500W would be ridiculed by Nvidia fanboys.:cry:

I think with a 500mm die they could have matched a 4090, that is just over 100mm smaller than the 4090 but its still a large die, its the sort of size where yields become more of a problem and it would be around 450 watts.

This would be an expensive GPU, £1000 expensive, i can see why they didn't do it.

I'm hoping the rumours are true - they end up surprising us with a 9080 XT and 9090 XT :D

I would have been happy with them bumping the CUs a single block to 72 in which case it would be neck and neck with 5080. Of they sold it at £800, they could have utterly owned that segment considering you can't find a 5080 for under £1200.
