Unfortunately, I did the same. I just gave OC £2k for a new system last week, so I don't feel too bad about spending this elswhere. My new build has a 1660 Super in it as a stop gap, so I resally don't want to wait until the next set of releases only to be potentially disappointed again. AT the end of the day, I'm paying a bit extra to get something tomorrow. I'm happy with that.I was after a Nitro, so was already expecting to pay £700. Spent an hour trying to order after being on the OcUK site logged in and prepared since this morning. Can't have been far off being one of the first to have the Nitro+ in my basket, after adding it just as it went to preorder available, but since then ended up putting order through after an hour between cart and checkout/address at a rival for £730.
The extra £30 is worth it if I end up actually getting the card; albeit I'd still rather deal with OCUK for support/warranty, so if the website starts working again shortly I'll shift my order.
Does make it that bit closer to 5070TI pricing, but with the info they're not going to get any more common this year, and they're regularly priced between 800-1000, I've made my piece, especially as the Nitro is one of the better cards.
Funnily enough the card payment system at the rival had already given up the ghost, but Paypal worked, and have order confirmation in hand already.
At significantly higher prices though. At least these should be well restocked over the coming days and weeks, it's not going to be a drip feed like the 5 series, 9070/XT stocks should stablise pretty quickly.
schrodinger's 9070xtI've still got a cheap one in my basket but I imagine it's not real... @Gibbo are all the pulses gone now? Do you know?
Seems like no matter how many AMD made, there were never going to be enough. Now there are people shouting paper launch and scam, because they don't understand what those terms mean.
That’s down to years of poorly priced poorly performing cards so more and more people keep on skipping generations till a decent one comes along. Its frustrating, i'm glad i'm not in the market right now, there is clearly huge demand for these things, 10,000 people viewing just the 3 Sapphire cards, i didn't even bother to check others. the site is cooked right now....

I get being frustrated. To me it seems the frutration would lie with the seller rather than AMD though. It's not AMD's site that's falling apart.People are getting frustrated, its understandable, hopefully people will get another chance to bag one at MSRP.
