I don’t know how accurate it is, but does anyone find it odd that the Pulse only says 20+ sold today?

Some others that are the none rebated ones (so all stock was presumably put on at once) have 100+ sold today on them.


Is that why it has been so hard to get one? Have they been going on 10 at a time? :p

I am literally on the fence about continuing. Had a pulse in my basket at 2pm, fought with the checkout for over an hour, saw the price jump up suddenly while it was in my basket..and simply walked away at that point.
My 6 series card is on its last legs, but may have to keep up the good fight another year or two. (its been repasted and I replaced the fans with cable tied noctuas).

It seems like the only way to possibly have a chance (slim one), is just to be glued to this thread for the rest of the evening and tomorrow....: /

The 9700 XT mainly represents great value for gaming at MSRP (and maybe a tiny bit over), especially for those that have not upgraded in a while.

As generally most SKUs come with PTM7950 pads, increasing the longevity and maintaining the performance of the card over the long term.

And on top of that, most SKUs use 2/3x 8-pin power connectors instead, increasing compatibility across many systems and avoiding the car crash that is the 12VHPWR connector.

Also, hopefully there will not be any missing ROPs-equivalent on the AMD side...

Maybe those who are twitchy will go for scalped ones, but I would rather wait for another drop, even at slightly higher prices, and fingers crossed, maybe AMD and their partners might even extend the MSRP discount.

Frank Azor has confirmed already they will extend it.

Agree it's great value at msrp, but once you get over £700 I think it starts to become a more equal proposition to nvidia.

Amd and retailers need to sort out how to get gpus in the hands of gamers and not scalpers, this has been going on for years now. Ridiculous
 
I can’t even remove the card in my basket that’s been there since 2:20pm even though it’s OOS.

Just errors every time.

At this rate Nvidia might even get my money if there were to drop some cards, and it pains me to say it.
 
should we expect another drop tonight? gibbo said he would give a heads up, and they did pop into stock for a millisecond. maybe a cancel or something? also, why not just drop them all? if they all get scalped then they all get scalped? its gonna happen either way. ive been here since 2pm man hahahah
 
We reckon that's the last of the batches done for tonight? (assuming theres anymore to come that is)
