*** The AMD RDNA 4 Rumour Mill ***

Check the link I put in my response. 9070 is about 10% better at 4K than a 5070 in RT. At 1440p it is a draw.

If you are using ultra RT settings on some extreme cases, then you may find that 16%+ claim to be “true”. But 22 vs 25 fps with upscaling is hardly a “win”. :)

techspot/hardware unboxed 1440p -16%.

So what? Like I said in the post in response to yours, it will depend on the game suite tested. If you focus on heavy RT games it won’t look great for either GPU. I mean I looked at tech spot and in Alan Wake 2 with quality upscaling at 1440p

(Min/avg)
5070 - 30/39 (identical to the older 4070)
9070 XT - 28/36

Neither are remotely playable. These kind of benchmarks in this level of GPU proves absolutely nothing.

Oh… wait, are you comparing a 5070Ti to a considerably cheaper GPU and using that for your RT comparison?

In tech spot at 1440p the 9070 XT and 5070 are essentially identical in RT. In raster the 9070XT is about 23% ahead for about 8% extra cost and 4GB more VRAM.

Yet other reviews have the 9070XT ahead of the 5070 by about 10% on RT and 25% ahead on raster.

Is there 9070xt owner's thread?
What sort of gpu clocks are you getting guys with yours 9070xt?
3310mhz here on gigabyte with no OC
90 C max on hot spot and vrams
What are you testing in?

Space Marine 2 I'm getting just under 3100mhz, GPU 55C, GPU Hotspot 81C, GPU hotspot max 84C, Mem temp 82. I do have custom fan curve turned on with default Adrenaline values.

But more importantly no Haribo ? :(

Christmas in March! Initial impression. This card is great! First, it weights probably half what my 6900XT does and it's a good 30FPS faster in synthetics. Can't hear the fans at all.

Hi, I've got the same card. I'm about to unplug it as the fans are like a jet engine trying to jump start the earth's rotation. Its absolutely ridiculous. The fans are off or silent below 50degrees but load up a game and the temps go pretty much direct (20sec or so) to 85 degress and hold there but the fans are so loud... I've got noise cancelling headphones and I can hear it over them. They are so loud the wife came in asking what the noise was. It's very hard to hide a GPU purchase from your wife when the fans are like a beacon calling to her ;)

Are you saying its quiet under load or just at desktop? Anyone else with this card having similar experience. At this point I'm hoping its faulty as there is no way I'm living with this noise :|

Quiet under full stress test load.

There might be a bios switch on the card for silent mode.

erm... maybe I've got a dud then :( what clocks and temps are you seeing under full load can you post a pic of the adrenaline software showing the details pls. thx!

edit - this is using the card's physical perf switch setting to OC. I've tried it on the "Silent" switch setting as well and its basically the same, the clocks are a little lower but the fans maybe 5% quieter

Have you tried adjusting the fan curve or checking it’s not ramping the fans to 100% unnecessarily?

well the temps are sat at 85 degrees so I'm assuming that messing with the fan curve to reduce would just raise the temps? I'm curious because someone Techavidian (same card) suggesting his is nice and quiet under full load

it may well raise the temp but worth checking - it might not need to run the fans at max to hold the temp at 85c for example.

edit: ah just saw your post above about trying it on silent mode and getting the same results. yea sounds like you might have a lemon there unfortunately. i'd still have a quick play with the fan curve and an undervolt though just to be sure. be nothing worse than returning it and ocuk or whoever you bought it from find no issue with it at their end (unlikely i know but stranger things have happened)
