YouFibre

If you hadn't already, my recommendation would have been to switch as well. Everything has been better since I moved from VM to YouFibre :)

To be fair, as a Fibre customer I've never had a single issue with the services provided. The slow customer service being the biggest issue, but why pay a slightly cheaper price for a demonstrably lesser product.

A friend messaged me today, they're moving house and wanted some help with broadband. Checked the postcode and the options are YouFibre or Virgin.

The advice was simple and to the point!

I noticed YouFibre offer wifi mesh node for £7pm. Is it just 1 node? If you want more is it n x £7pm? I'd love them to get UniFi APs (to make my tech support life easier) but I don't think I'm going to win that battle.

I can't find any prices on youfibre without giving them all my details, and signing up to an agreement they can message me by SMS, whatsapp and anything else they feel like. It puts me off when a company can't be upfront about their prices publicly. What are they trying to hide? I do not agree for any company to message me by whatscrap. They can jog on demanding that. Also the website T&Cs seem pretty ridiculous. I've never seen someone demand I agree to unlimited liability and waive statutory (implied) rights just to use their website. It makes me wonder what kind of company this is really.

The prices are plastered all across the home page?

YouFibre don't have any online portal or login. They're literally on the home page, just scroll down slightly.
Thanks for this. Found them, but omfg the web site navigation...

Turns out I went there via a link and it turns out it is sending to https://www.youfibre.com/why-youfibre/ Once there you can't get to homebroadband prices, even by clicking on "home broadband" down the bottom of the page which seems to go back to why-youfibre or a page like it. You can find business prices but obviously those are higher than people are talking about here (presumably better support though) but nowhere that I clicked in proper menus can you navigate to home prices. The only way seems to be to click the logo to get to the actual homepage https://www.youfibre.com/ where there they are grinning at me with a bit of scrolling as you say. I think the site would benefit from a "home customer" link to that table imo but hey ho. 50% my bad for not thinking to click on the logo sooner but for the "home broadband" not to send you there too? That's on them imo. Or maybe I've crossed the line now into old fart who can't work technology anymore. Oh no, I'll be getting my kids to program the VCR for me any day now. How did it come to this.

Those prices blow VM out the water don't they!

Do youfibre run off openreach? I think that's the only fttp option out this way.

Sign up to the marketing you don’t want and they’ll let you know when they get to your town.
I'll happily give them an email, but there's no way to say email only. It's email and mobile and consent to bombardment by all methods. Seems a bit unreasonable. Anyway they can't supply to me at the moment and I need to get something in place in the next few weeks so that's all I need to know for now. Shame as their prices are cracking and symmetric bandwidth is a jolly site better than the openreach offerings I can get e.g. via aquiss or similar ISP using that network.

I cannot praise YouFibre enough, instalation on Friday was zero fuss. The engineer was brilliant, clean, tidy and a pleasure to chat with. There was an issue where I was getting around 1 gig up and down and not the 2 gig I'm signed up for.

The network team on the phone ,spent ages trying to get me sorted as the issue wasn't making sense. Turned out the router hadn't taken some settings properly during set up and needed to be factory reset.

I'm now getting 2.4ghz down and 1.9Ghz up on average.

Just use 07900000000 as your number lol They use sign ups like that to gauge the interest for where to roll out next. Maybe sign up with Netomnia (their infrastructure parent company, who actually lay the fibre) instead.

Yay, finally got an email this morning for YouFibre 'go live' in my area. Just over 2 years since I originally signed up for YouFibre, because the original build was incomplete due to the company doing the work going into administration.

Looking forward to having symmetric speeds, ditched VM just over 2 years ago, ended up with TalkTalk because YouFibre couldn't complete the build at the time. Switch placed this morning early, install next Tuesday am Yay! (YouFibre 1000, static IP).

Anyone else had an install recently confirm what Eero's they use now? (if at all). Thanks.

Mine been installed a few months now but I have their supplied router in the cupboard as I have a Unifi network (UCG Ultra) and x 4 LR APs - Kept the vendor unit for testing though

Depends on the package you order, when I ordered and got my You1000 installed I got YouFibre's own Arris Router (using my own router now).

I've also seen recently that they've started to use their own branded new YouHub Pro routers on You2000 packages upwards. I think it can also come down to what the engineer is carrying in his van as well sometimes as well, as people are still getting Eero's on You1000 and the Asus router on You8000.

Yeah ordered the you1000 at the time of order.

Also, looks like YouFibre are honouring the deal I placed when the initial order went in, from back in 2023 the deal was YouFibre 1000 with 1st 3 months at £6pm the remaining months at £34.99.

I've opted for the YouMesh which is the extra £7pm, would be nice if the whole lot was Eero for ease.
