Not worth more than £569.99 for me! Ideally needed to keep the msrp of the 7800XT £499 or 6700XT £469- already a £100 jump.

BUT there is some talk of chip scarcity going forwards so this is going to be normal with higher prices. People will buy I’m afraid.

At least AMD appears to be supplying this is much better than Nvidia is. Read the Nvidia pre order page and they have been waiting 6weeks and have only moved up a few places on the 5090 orders

In stock is not a surplus it's just normal supply. Once cards are in stock prices will settle lower how much is the question. Once everyone has stock places like OC will order less so the card makers make to less and the market stablises. If Nvidia supply stays the same AMD cards are going to take more market share and prices will remain high because the cards even though coming in stock will still sell at a good rate and sellers won't feel the need to drop prices. If as above the TSMC wafers supply is restricted might take a while. This is still so much better than 2020 when you could not get anything.

No-one said in stock was a surplus. "If we end up with a surplus over the summer". Once the initial demand is met I don't see most people rushing to spend £600 in the current climate. A little more than that is already slowing sales, at one time people would have bought a brick with an Nvidia or AMD sticker on it.

One place had them at £780 over the weekend now lower. Best is about £680, available off and on. Another place using cashback site/gift cards, could net to £645 if they had stock.

I think the Gigabyte XT Gaming OC was somewhat priced wrong at launch. As it didn't have reference clocks, nor 2x8pin, nor missing 2x GPU phases, also has dual VBIOS that lower end cards don't.

W1zzard updated TPU reviews concerning VRAM phases, also today mosfet rating. I had seen not only in HWBusters the rating for mosfet differed but some other reviews of 9000 series.

Couldn't agree more, the Gaming OC was a steal at MSRP, it's a midrange card at least. £719 is a bit rich but definitely worth more than £569 - the Reaper is a proper MSRP card.

It is a shame, our first batch was direct, so no middle man, this came via a UK disti which has added a chunk of additional cost.

Let’s hope AMD have learned they have needed a compelling product (9070XT certainly is) at a decent price point for market share and will carry that into design of UDNA.

I caved (in a moment of weakness) but I saw sense and have reverted back to my 7800XT- realised it isn't that bad for what I play (and I don't care if I don't get FSR4) and should do me for another 2 years!

Yeah I'd have a gleam in my eye and a skip in my step if I was an owner of a Gigabyte RX 9070 XT Gaming OC bought at £570.

Don't tempt me - I was considering throwing it into the old build just to test it, but I want to ensure I don't give the 12VHighFireRisk power adaptor any further chances to prove it's reputation, or for anything in the box to go missing!

The fact it comes with an 8 pin to THING adaptor means it'd be easy to do, but then I'd also be testing it on a machine that wouldnt get the best out of it, adding some wear to the connector etc...I'm just going to be good, and if it has any faults when I get it out the box, I'll handle as such
