thats what made it easier for me, sold my 4090 otherwise no way would I have bought a 5090 at full RRP, been upgrading since the 20 series so selling before the new release and you can get back most of the money, I think this is the only time I had to pay a bit more cash, but you have a 5090 now and your covered for the next 2 years

Very true. I mainly sold my 4090 as It was 2nd hand so had no warranty and I was a bit paranoid about such an expensive card failing. Selling for £1800 also helped the jump to the 5090.

The card is certainly long, thick and hard, but the heat, noise and fire risk render it completely unsuitable for the use case that the quoted post implied.

I've just been really unlucky with a 5090 - keep missing all the drops for one reason or another.
I've been tasked to build a third machine by the Mrs and the card is last peace of the puzzle.
