Well, I was gonna post all the Brits scored today
That’s out the window :-/

Ferrari always gonna Ferrari

‘‘Twas a meh race
kinda concerning Alonso’s brakes torched to early, and also Tsunodas wing breaking on its own….

They already did, it was still underweight.

I wonder if that is why Leclerc was faster than Lewis today compared with yesterday..

Leclerc was nowhere in the sprint pace wise, yet seemed decently faster than Lewis even with a broken wing today.

I don't think so, I think Leclerc would have hit weight had he been on a two stop like Lewis. I think they repeated the mistake of Merc and Russell last year. Hamilton's plank I find stranger, especially at a Sprint weekend where they would have had more information to go on before the race.

It was strange. I was wondering above whether the loss of front left downforce was actually helping with tyre graining since they all seemed to have issues at that corner but Leclerc's looked better than Hamiltons, although neither Ferrari nor Leclerc mentioned that in interviews so perhaps unlikely. Hamilton did seem better on the Mediums than the Hards, so perhaps it was a tyre thing? Or just that the car runs that much better in clear air?

No but you can now change your vote if you wish.
Heh thanks. I won’t be petty about it and change my vote, but this nonsense does reinforce my forever view that ground effect cars are trash re. the skid plate etc.

Have Ferrari properly ****** up something with the ride height/plank this year?

Rumours were that they compromised Aus performance due to the plank, and then Lewis gets disqualified today for it....

Sucks but Ferrari aren’t winning anything this year anyway so not the worst thing in the world

Bit early to be making such claims. Ferrari won the Sprint, and weren't far off the pace in real quali/race. We saw last year how a far greater dominance than McLaren have shown can swing round, and we've already seen how much difference the track/conditions make to how teams perform.

Would it be such a bad idea to have tires that don't melt when pushed but just introduce mandatory stops. This way drivers can push al the way in between stops without the fear of the tires exploding and we might actually get better racing. Remember Qatar two years ago.
