Best Retro Handheld

Maybe it will be back in time for the next version to be launched :D

Too late - They launched the Aya Neo 3 during this time lol. That wasn't even a thing when I sent it in! For the guys reading the device I sent in was a 6800u, 32gb ram, 2tb SSD - Air Plus flagship.

Couldn’t help myself and purchased another Brick on the sales. Gone for a white one this time. Also the new Retroid Classic takes my fancy but I’m awaiting for some decent reviews before taking the plunge on one.

I was tempted to get a red Brick too but held off and going to see what the Classic is like first too.

I absolutely love the Classic colourways, that Pokemon special edition one is really tempting me but I don't really see a place for it; it's a power SoC but it has no analogue sticks so why use it over a Miyoo Mini or my RG34xx

Exactly, precisely.

It will cover the same grounds as the Brick/Miyoo Mini. The only difference then is the size of the unit, comfort, screen, the quality of the screen and the OS and battery life.

I think my Brick is perfect as is so no need to get it.....but I am curious.

I'd be more curious if it was cheaper but I can't justify one at this price point.

Deffo liking the white as well ! Will prolly at some point get the other 2 colours to complete the set lol.

Where are you getting the brick form and how much is it coming in at?

I've joined the retro revolution, well I am not new to it, but recently ramped up the purchasing :D
Growing up I went from Atari>Master System>Megadrive>Snes>Amiga>PC>XboxOne so I didn't really get involved in the DC/GC/N64/PS1/PS2 etc - but obviously interested to play games from that era - can't play any 3D Games due to motion sickness! (So things like GoldenEye N64/Mario 64 etc are a no go!)

Currently have a G Cloud (Good for xbox streaming, but can be a bit laggy, especially in games like Forza - this may get changed at some point to an Ally or Steam Deck that might be better at that)
Anbernic RG406V

On order, Anbernic RGCubeXX & TrimUI Smart Pro

Will experiment on the OS's, liking the look of CrossMix on the SmartUI - and will likely try Knulli on the RGCubeXX

I'm probably going to sell my RG cube on here or the bay. Not sure how much to ask for it? Bought last year I think around November time. I've already got a steam deck and a Rp5 and an Odin2 pro so it's not getting used.

Agreed there isnt much that can be done on top over a TrimUI Brick with NextUI installed.

Another one that takes my fancy is the AYANEO Pocket Ace that has just been announced, however I dont expect it to be cheap.

Brought a bunch of retro handhand devices (R36S, Anbernic RG35XX H & Miyoo Mini Plus) from AliExpress over xmas for the kids and missus and the are loving the classic games from the 8-bit and 16-bit era :)

Hi. which method did you use to scrape your games ? Was it done on PC or on the actual device? I like the look of the screenshot and box art

RGC released a guide this week on how to do it, it is all done on console i believe.
PakUI has an onboard scraper as well which works nicely too. PakUI is still a bit buggy, but it feels more complete than NextUI especially around the LED settings and general aesthetics of the UI.
