Since I got my 5090 FE over a month ago all I have on most games are micro stutters, I have a thread open on Nvidia forums and someone I am working with also as one open, the drivers are rubbish, when using V-Sync in the control panel is broken, but after a lot of back and forth with logs etc…, with the driver team we seem to be making progress as now it’s an open issue.
We mentioned this also as Avowed as this problem, no frame cap and full utilisation and using only 300w and max frame rate 90fps, of course can use MFG, but you get the point.
Hopefully all this gets better in the next few drivers as before selling my 4090 everything was fine on that, no micro stutters etc…
Not sure if you're on Windows 11 or not but if you are then turn VBS off as it is bugged when it comes to 9800X3D's. I was getting immense stuttering in Spiderman Remastered and various other games because of it.
Someone on the Steam forum said the fix was turning VBS off if you have an X3D CPU, Turned virtualisation off in the bios, Tamper Protection off in the security centre and ran "bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off" with CMD as admin, Rebooted and hey presto, Welcome to the land of smooth butter
