NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Ventus and Vanguard 5090's been in stock again this morning, same prices as yesterday.
That Ventus at £19xx is a very good price for people who want to get into 5090 ownership without paying through the nose for the more desired models. It hard to refuse it at that price unless you are like an uber snob like *cough* nitefly...I mean a gentleman of discerning taste... :P

It's like why get the suprim when you can get the ventus or palit....*hugs suprim hypocritically*.

:P

Yup I'm more than happy to have picked up a Ventus especially at £19xx. Paying hundreds more for the gaming model, for a more aesthetic shroud and some LED's is laughable for me.

Hoping for that Suprim drop but I’m extremely doubtful :(
Can you tell me where you are in the queue? I am off to meet the seller of the Astral this afternoon on my work break and see what's up with that. It sounds too good to be true and it probably is. But on the offchance it could be legit it worth the my time to check it out. If it is legit and I end up geting it then I do recall I owe you a conversation about a Suprim *cough*...

Damn this is a nasty internet *cough*... :P

I thought undervolting was just saving power? What are some good numbers for overclocking? I don't care about the power.

You thought wrong... Less power, less heat, more performance.

This guide is for the FE but it will be pretty much the same for yours

Not as straight cut, it takes tinkering but depending on cooler you maybe don't need to undervolt. Obviously inferior coolers straight undervolt. All part of the fun!

Really looking forward to @Nitefly getting his Suprim and seeing it in his rig. One of the few sticking to his guns and not giving in to the cheapest/and crazy prices like some of us ;)
I'm one of those, Gibbo said theres only 4 of us left from OC with a Suprim SOC Air that need fulfilled now, our watch is almost at an end

The Ventus appeared to be in stock for quite some time, but you couldnt actually buy it. After it got to your basket it said delivery and collection unavailable.
That's because its has gone out of stock while its in your basket. I got through to payment yesterday but then pulled out...

It's hard to argue in this climate. Much easier to argue in years gone by when the cards are maybe three or four hundred apart, from MSRP models to top models. In that scenario you could make a strong case for an Astral over a Ventus if there's 200-300 between them, but when they are a grand apart...???

On a side note, wonder how the Ventus stacks up against the FE.

It can’t be any worse, surely. The FE runs hot, and it’s memory temps are spicy asf. I just trust the FE more than the Ventus build quality wise, for some reason. I’m also put off by the fact I cant find any reviews of the Ventus.

Yeah, read that as well - definitely not a payment issue. £2400 payment processed and cleared -- money's well and gone and with OCUK. Tracking says it was at the depot this morning, then sent back to Overclockers.

I've literally never seen anything like this before here in UK or US. In any case, not worried as I'm not the party that needs to figure this out: between OCUK and DPD and my funds are covered.
Whelp, reached out to OCUK, and reached out to DPD... Neither have a Scoobie why the Zotac 5090 I bought reached my local depot yesterday, then was promptly shipped back to OCUK. Shopping damage? Stolen? OCUK had second thoughts and wanted to keep an extra 5090 in their warehouse? Anyone's guess at this point.

Been asked by OCUK to wait until they get it back, then reship or replace it. End result: I'm now stuck here without a very expensive card I paid for.

This is so far past comical.

Thats pretty crap but is typical of DPD in my experience.

Im sure theyve plenty of 5090s flowing to worry about keeping a Zotac in store lol, could just be shipping address error or as you say bit of shipping damage. My guess is address issue
