Helldivers 2

Sad because I love a blast on HD2 but now every time I get the drop pod animation it crashes to desktop. Every time :(

Tried full reinstall, drivers, everything.
 
Have been playing this lately and it's such a fun game when played with other people, only lvl 16 so still have plenty of things to unlock. Also when I moved to lvl 5 difficulty which is Hard online multiplayer have been much better so gonna stick to Hard for a while and see how it goes.
 
Has anyone else had any issues with the game crashes since the update yesterday?

No issues at all with crashing and after the update yesterday I have had 3 crashes to desktop and 4 hard locks where I have to hold the power button down to turn off the PC

Always fun with friends you know, I have spent most of my 475 hours playing with randoms
 
For anyone interested I think I have sorted the crashing.

I had PBO enabled with a +200 and CO with a -30. I have had no issues with this or playing helldivers 2 until the patch that was released on Tuesday (25/3/25) and its been fine for months.

Last night I disabled PBO and have had no crashes at all, I am thinking my -30 on CO was a bit too much so may re enabled and change to -25\20

It is still quite buggy. At the moment once you set up 2 x sam sites in illuminate missions, it shoots a few ships down which get stuck in the sky and stops any more coming in to drop squids. Makes for very boring missions

I had it where parts of the ships where stuck in the sky as well.

going to first person at times makes your gun disappear so no idea where your aiming, comes back if you go back to 3rd person and back again.

you dont have an older processor by any chance do you? i believe after the update your processor needs to support AVX2. my mate has an i7 3770 and it went to fine to buggy after the patch and that is the reason.

personally i accept things move on and new games not running on old hardware is regrettable but understandable.

however bringing in a patch which breaks old processors post release? that is out of order imo given a purchase decision was made on the hardware requirements and any refund windows will have passed.. Fortunately the backlash has been so great that i think that is gonna be patched out again however i suspect this does mean that soon older processors are gonna have games they are unable to play despite being capable from a purely performance point of view.

Yeah definitely a dubious one where hardware requirements change post purchase.

There often isn't a good reason for it, other than dev laziness, even though it might require a slower fallback path for some features.
