NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Pretty good deal imo. I say again, it's lovely to see a web forum again, rather than another bloody discord server.

They did the same thing during 30 series launch.
They've gotten worse after 30 series. When i got my 3070 on launch from them, they offered a decent upgrade from a ventus 2x to a ventus 3x for only £10 more (£529 -> £499) I paid £489 for the 2x.

This time they tried to get me to leave my queue for the Solid Core 5070ti and switch to an in stock AMP Extreme for £120 more than what i paid. (i paid £789, the amp extreme was £909) No offers to discount the card or anything.

No wonder it was in stock because no one wanted to buy a card for that price!

The fact you have to pay delivery on anything over £2k is a joke, full stop.
Agreed. The fact that it is £11.50 is also outrageous. And their bloody pre order system wouldn't let me put anything else in my basket other than the card. So i ended up paying delivery twice because i needed to place two orders. One for the GPU and one for the other components for my upgrade.

:D Sir, yes, Sir!

Oh, nice. As soon as the 5090 AIB web pages went live, I immediately looked at the dimensions and then sought to find the best full tower case. Just to be prepared. £170 seems pretty good value for the Flux Pro tbh. That and the NZXT C1500 are on the cards as soon as I buy a 5090.... With 4090 used prices remaining high, it is certainly tempting.
Give in to the temptation (if you can afford to do so), you know it makes sense...

Just need to wait for the right AIB card + price combo. I'm not sure what that is yet, but i'll know when I see it :D I would usually be looking for a mid tier card, e.g., Gaming OC/Gaming Trio level, but they are just so much money.
Is it just me or have gigabyte's prices gone up across the board? For the 5070ti even the entry level windforce was more expensive than the zotac solid oc. Zotac solid was really good tho. Specs and features of a high end card (less RGB I guess) without the high end price. Nice design too, tempted to wrap the champagne coloured parts in a matte black/grey or carbon fibre tho.

It's definitely not just you. I've only been focusing on the 5090 cards, but even the 5090 Windforce is mad money. It's launch price was over £2,300. It is normally at, or just above, MSRP. Meanwhile the Aorus 5090 is supposed to be £2500 (pretty reasonable I'd say for the highest end Gigabyte card), but it is currently at £3000 (or £2720 if you catch the white version from a particular retailer at the right time).

I wonder if gigabyte has just given up on MSRP, as I didn't see any windforce units being shipped to reviewers for the MSRP launch.

I also noticed, atleast with the 5070ti, that their cards had much longer ETAs (especially the cheaper variants such as eagle, windforce) compared to all the other brands. I wonder if they just aren't producing/shipping out as much.

Really unfortunate as gigabyte cards were some of my favourites for aesthetics+perf to price ratio in the past.

I'm not sure, but they have had very few 5090 restocks since launch. Prioritising other regions perhaps.

I just happened to check the store on Friday afternoon's big restock and was surprised to see the Inno3D 5080 drop from £1300 to £1080.. picked it up since it's the only 2 slot card and will fit in my case, arrived yesterday and working great. Tbh I'd had my eye on a 9070XT but the only 2 slot one was 5mm too long.
