OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

if supply was high and at MSRP scalpers wouldnt sell any,the problem is the supply is so thin on the ground its a scalpers paradise be it either the shop or 3rd party sellers.
If manufacturers straight up voided warranties for scalped cards (aka. Sold by unauthorised 3rd parties) then Scalping would disappear. Right now they technically do in the terms of service but end up honouring it anyway.

In the Enterprise world Cisco did this and even during Covid they had zero issues with scalpers on new gear.

It's a bizarre price now that the 5070 ti is in and out of stock at 729, and easily obtainable for £800.
Apples and oranges, the Asus 9070XT are both £200 cheaper, Asus 5070ti Prime costs £919 and the TUF is £999, today they've sold 3 Asus 70ti's V 5 Asus 9070XT's.

But who are the mad people buying Asus cards when they are so hilariously priced?

It's only apples and oranges if you think in such bizarre terms.

Asus aren't even that special anyway so I have no idea why anyone would want to spend such a ludicrous amount on a 9070 xt

£720 and £800

Pure comedy gold.

It's also a principle thing. I just don't like knowing/feeling like I've been ripped off, even if it is for only £50 or so.

Astonishing to watch the Reaper selling quickly for £700 elsewhere...!

Are people ok?

Indeed. Best not get caught up in it and end up paying a non sensical price.

If I wanted to spend £700+ for this kind of performance, I would have bought a 4070 ti super/4080/7900xtx last year. I didn't want to then, and still don't want to now

Desirable brand sells out because people that want 9070XT's still buy them over similar priced entry level 5070Ti's that only dropped to that price point because nearly no one wants them since the 9070XT launched...

Why are people snapping these overpriced cards up so rabidly?

Don’t they shop around or are they focused solely on getting ASUS products?

Waiting for msrp personally but resale values of used cards also falling slightly the longer the wait goes on lol.
