Family Car for roughly £15k

Why would I suggest something I think is worse? What a pathetic stance on things. Hey go buy a Pentium III is was my favourite CPU. I suggest what I think is a good fit for the required vehicle and would not suggest anything otherwise.

Are you now suggesting an Ioniq 5 is not a good fit given the opening post? Ah yes I must be on a crusade as I was the first person to reply without a clarification, and then I dared asked why it might not be suitable given they had indicated they like the look of it. Why are you on some sort of crusade to attack me for making a suggestion? Tell you what put me on ignore if you don't want to see what I post, and don't have anything positive to add yourself.
Congrats on missing the point entirely

Kia Sportage. I've had two. Great, cheap, massive space, economical family cars.

I'd never set foot in one prior to ordering my first one. The thought being if they were so terrible, there wouldn't be so many of them on the road.
Thanks for the tip.

I do like the Sportage, would love one of the more modern facelift ones but they seem to be way off budget unfortunately

You can still get a decent 2020/21 model with low mileage which falls into your budget. I'm not a fan of the new models myself.

I'd question if audi servicing is genuinely more than anything from VAG stable, I'd considered a golf estate, renault (chain) tourer, and 3touring, before getting an A4 -
in that ~£15K slot; I won't be using a main dealer anyway, took months to find (manual) cars in that category
Some of the a4 suspension parts might be more expensive as they are aluminium though (which had been discussed in earlier thread).

Tucson? Pretty much the same car underneath as Sportage and you can just about get the newer shape for your budget, would still have a year or so warranty remaining.

Had several skodas as family cars and been pretty pleased with them. I'd look at octavias, as they are s nice size for s family car. I have a kodiaq at the moment for the 7 seats, but will be going smaller again when I can as it's a pain to park at times

I have to say we had a couple of SUVs whilst the kids were small, but we all prefer estates, as they actually have bigger boots, and you can still fit 5 people in the car comfortably. Plus they drive better than SUVs in my opinion. Are you dead set on an SUV?

Not to be pedantic but the Kodiaq is only about 1cm longer than the Octavia Estate :p

Sure, 6cm longer than the hatch and 4cm wider than both octavias, plus the extra height and weight. Having had both cars, the extra makes a difference, believe me

What about a Qashqai?
I had one for about a year, cost me almost nothing to run, was pretty roomy inside and came with a lot of toys.

children and related accesories? Kodiaq. fuel choice and trim to suit budget and usage.

literally the most practical car for family shifting duties

or if you hate suv's buy the slightly smaller but also huge superb
