A summary of my thoughts : generally positive. Price is what I expected, near enough ( £395.95 ). Mario Kart World looks fun and will definitely pick that up on release, but in physical cartridge format rather than the digital / bundle version. All the FromSoft fanboys are going to be raging at having to buy a Switch 2 for access to the "The Duskbloods", which at first glance looks like Nintendo's "Bloodorne".
I have a few question marks about how previous Switch games will fare. So, we know some will get a "Switch 2 edition" ... but you have to pay for an upgrade. How much ? And it would have been good to have been given a comprehensive list of which games are getting a Switch 2 edition. Also, what about games that won't be receiving a Switch 2 edition ; can we expect better framerates/resolution at all ?
Not too worried about the screen being an LCD ; I'm sure an OLED version will appear a year or two down the line, but 120 Hz with HDR is nothing to be sniffed at. No word on whether the display has VRR functionality. I assume they would have mentioned it if it did.
Performance in general looks to be good eg. Metroid Prime 4 will be 1080p/120fps in handheld and 4K/60fps docked. I now expect many 3rd party games to probably achieve 4K/30fps in docked mode.
Gamechat is a welcome addition ; the lack of voicechat with the original Switch was a big drawback for multiplayer / co-op games. This should go a long way to plugging that gap, but I'm a bit sceptical about how well the built-in mic will pick up speech if the console is docked several feet away.
The camera functionality doesn't interest me at all, so no comment on that.
