The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

so just started my pc up and for some reason i have a very weird green distorted imagie on hte screen........
i have a spare small screen which uses display port so connected that and the display port seems to be fine just the hdmi screen is now a mostly green psychedelic trip or something
adrenaline is saying default performance tuning settings restored due to unexpected system failure

Is the cable capable of the resolution, refresh, bit level and HDR, if you have HDR on?
I found most HDMI issues end up being the cable not being rated to the bit rate required for the setup being used.
Give a different cable a go if you have a spare.

yeah i had that problem with my original cable this was working fine and has been for nearly a week, put the pc to sleep took the dog outside came back in 15 minutes later and pc wakes up and its like its had its drink spiked lol 2 restarts adn the hdmi screen still looks like a psychedelic painting from the 60s luckily i had a small little display port monitor lying around.
i have tried plugging and unplugging restarting bit odd htat it suddenly started doing this though lol.
its had an issue since i got it that the hdmi doesnt work until your at the windows login screen which now ive got the other screen connected i can confirm its the hdmi not working until windows is fully booted up and now even when it is its well impossible to see anything lol
but yes the new cable should be fine its only a 4k60 scren as well. most odd that it worked until i put the pc to sleep lol
 
Anyone running their 9070XT with a 5800X3d but also play some warzone at 1440p? Interested to see how your performance is?

Also, I've seen some discussions about fan optimising, any suggestions to keep it quiet enough but effective?

So if you shutdown the PC, switch off at the mains, let it discharge, switch back on at the mains and turn on, do you still have the screen issue?

Although I had my pulse delivered the other day, I thought I would leave the nitro+ on order for another week or something looks like it's going to be delivered on Tuesday now...
 
nah unplugging for a minute or two then plugging back in and starting up yields the same result lol really w eird
and is kinda telling me i need to just buy a decent screen that uses display port really im guessing is the ultimate solution lol

unfortunately sleeping it doesnt appear to untrigger it lol
really really weird
ive noticed before that the screen connected via hdmi does nothing but flicker until windows is fully booted which would obviously cause issues if i needed to use bios while only having the one screen
i guess i need to accept that hdmi just doesnt work on this gpu i guess lol
 
I thought I had HDMI issue because of all my problems with my card but one thing I've noticed with AMD over the yrs it's not like green team plug n play, I find AMD cards are like long term partners, ie temperamental as hell, they need a lot of attention to get them to settle down:D.

Though seriously change connectors change cable positions o in psu. I went through 3 HDMI cables lol. More importantly is do a full window reinstall.

My xt still has issues with some of my HDMI cables. Never had one issue with DP though.

For me it's worth the extra but I get that its a waste of money for most. Especially if you have a closed case or it sits under the desk.

just seems odd that it was utterly fine until i decided to take the dog outside for a few mintues lol
ive even tried various combinations of swear words and creatively constructed insults, no improvement lol.
I was planningo n getting a second screen anyway as music production does tend to favor 2 screens was hoping to avoid getting 2 new screens and im guessing not many cheap tvs with display port on the market lol
but yes its like a disfunctional drunk partner ive noticed too i do still love it though

Yeah I like that, a lot.
I'll test it to make sure it's not screaming with coil whine or any issues then decide which one to keep. Hopefully the nitro!
