damn brings back sweet memories. COVID was a wonderful time to be alive. (paid for my house deposit and a much smaller mortgage)
Haemorrhaging cash, living in complete "overhyped" (controversial) fear of other humans, not being able to taste lemon juice for 2 days. I am amazed i made it.

I truly hope i can live long enough to see WW3 and live just long enough to see my just recovered investments get melted in a nuclear fireball.

75-80% cash atm. I do have a bit of AMD and Intel which is down single digits at the moment as I only bought recently. I can't see an upturn in the next 2-3 years if these tariffs stand. Think I'll see how the weekend plays out and consider fully exiting.

Although I do have my Peter Thiel backed biotech punt that I'll continue swing trading.

The only hope is he's doing this so other countries make a deal / bow down to him, like with his China / TikTok talk.
Other wise I think you may be right. My money market fund is looking particularly appealing right now.

However, I fear that the US has done serious and long lasting damage to it's reputation, to the point that the appetite for investment in the US is almost none existent. If you're invested in a US-leaning fund, like many of us are, it may be a much slower recovery than what we've seen in the past. This, coupled with the uncertianty of the Mr Orange still being in power.

if they ousted him before term ends then it would go along way to help repair damages. but i dont see it happening.
like you say they've reniged on many promises and quickly back peddled on policies with out worrying about consequences. its very much like hes trying to isolate the US
