NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

The entry and high-end used 4090s are selling for virtually the same price, so I suspect spending a sizeable amount over the £1900 MSRP is money lost.

It will be interesting. Given the fe this time around is more concerned with small form factor over noise and thermals I'm not as sure. That been said if its still 2k in two years fine with me, happy to have a quiet system. :)

That's very true. 5090s do run hot (shock, I know). A card that runs at 70+c isn't necessarily the end of the world, but my 4090 rarely goes above 60c, so it would take a bit of adjustment for me, haha.

Think of it this way, it's only £1010 more than the FE model. That should make you feel better.
Bargin... ;)

You sticking with the 4090 or have your eye on an 5090/FE?
I sold my 4090 for £200 more than I bought it for, go figure. Just happy to get something back I suppose...
I reckon it Id be lucky to get 2/3s back in 2 years for my 5090, but hey ho, buy to enjoy it so whatever and rarely goes over 60c as well at 1200rpm. Happy days.

Good bit of business. I totally screwed up on my end and ended up selling my 4090 Strix OC for £1400 because I thought the 5090 would make the 4090 difficult to shift. I also stupidly did this 3 weeks before the 5090 launch leaving myself without a GPU for ages. Lol

Who knew thought, really was a total chance. I thought about it early as well then changed my mind, but that was early January when I decided I definately wasnt paying 2k plus for a 5090 :p. Well, then I thought its only money and you cant take it with you, I'd rather enjoy it.

I'm not sure... I am 60/40 leaning towards a 5090, but i don't want to pay more than £2300 tbh. The FE is non-existent this time, so i'm just keeping an eye on pricing and supply. Will see how things are over the next month or so.

You are totally right. Could have gone the opposite way. Haha

No dispatch emails have gone out. I think they get dispatched tomorrow. You are definitely getting yours as all back orders were first cleared before the rest were put up for sale.
I do hope so, I'll patiently wait 12 hours at work tomorrow twiddling my thumbs haha! Unfortunately my wait still isn't over, the real wait is Lian Li unless I change my fan choice which I don't really wanna do

5090FE rarely gets to 65c whilst using the undervolt and gets a performance boost at the same time
Most of the negative comments you see towards the FE are from people who spent more for an AIB and want to justify it to themselves
