Tabletop Warhammer?

I'm not bothering yet as I've not painted one model, only assembled 6.
Decided CBA with Aeldari stuff either so getting rid of that. Have made great progress on my Chaos Knights though so that's my current focus.

grrrrrrrrr The caps on the TTC are getting gunked up just like my AK paints. No matter how much care I take. Rage inducing. Thy keep this up they be dumped into the top draw with the AK's!!!

I've had that on a few but I think all from the first wave which were apparently overfilled.

Made great progress (for me) on these lads none of them finished, the wardog with the green eye is farthest along, I think I'm gonna use oil wash on a few to see how I do there. A few things, firstly I've gone too far now if I want to magnetise the other weapon options on the Dominus/Tyrant, the only way I could do it now is by buying the arm joint and armour panel, and then not ever glue the top on which is perfectly doable/workable.

My other thought it the Dominus/Tyrant is too much orange, I couldn't work out another colour to put on the lower leg panel so I'm thinking I will just put quite a lot of decals over it, maybe look online for some general chaos ones etc. Going forward, I want them to all be one cohesive thing but I think I'll paint additional ones a contrasting colour, maybe even have some totally on their own colour to mix it up a bit.
I've used TTC Doom Metal for all the trim, unsure (if I even do it) how I'd edge highlight that, maybe a darker silver like iron hands.

I've not really got the hang of glowing effects at all as you can see by these attempts on the exhaust holes but I think I did well on the eye with a small attempt at OSL.

Just used the Colour Forge Matte Black spray and I’m totally impressed!! It’s extremely close to the Pro Acryl airbrush primer :D and the coverage was fabulous.

Think I’m sold on the sprays after the hassle I’ve had with the airbrush primer. The new version of the Citadel spry stick help loads getting the models at all different angles.

Looks like I’ve come full circle with primers!!

Kinda primmed my hand tho!!

@Noxia They look awesome!!

Colour Forge matte black is excellent indeed and tbh now the weather is nice I might even use it over the airbrush.

Just assembling my Cerastus Lancer and the legs come up to the shoulders on the Tyrant..

I really have a problem:/

Just ordered the the Vallejo Game Color Set - Foundation 80 Colors + Case!

That really should be me finished in buying paints

well apart from a few of the new Model colour line I want!!

You have just reminded me, you can never have enough paint ;)
I really need to have a clear out and start to get stuff listed, paints and equipment that I won’t use or upgraded over he past few years. Think I’ve gotten as far as boxing up and recording all the GW paints I’ve rebottled!!

Always liked the new Vallejo game line and one of my favourite painters uses them (Angel Giraldez) and he makes wonderful tutorials with a combination of airbrush and brush. They also use the base, shadow and highlight system which is perfect for a numpty like me. Now with Squimire also doing tutorials on his second channel and the model range getting the new upgrade it’s a no brainier for me.

With a few bottles of the model colour line i should be pretty much covered for any scheme or guide I want to follow.

Two Thin coats for the satin finish, great metallics and close match to the citadel paints and Vallejo for that matte finish. Army painter for the great washes and effect paints.

I do like pro Acryl but there is a bit of a learning curve for them.

Ak gen 3 is freaking amazing. Massive range but I haven’t got a clue if I’m in the same colour hue. That’s where Vallejo comes in very similar but has that B/S/H setup.

Well all of the above is what I used to justify buying more paint to myself

My painting process has gotten faster recently. I really should have 3 squads of black Templars painted but the fact is I’ve striped one squad twice and on my 3rd attempt which I’m really happy with.

Hopefully start to get more models painted going forward instead of photos of new paints and boxed models!!!

Been trying glittering myriad scheme, decided I'm not really a pink fan lol.

The white is faffy. Used a CoP method, black prime, Tamiya Ocean grey 2, Ulthuan grey, Tamiya flat white, edge with bolder white if you want.

Have you ever wondered how our addiction to plastic is manufactured, found the video really interesting especially the terrain at the end of the video.
