Monday now, as I could only get to my solicitors office late in the afternoon today, so wasn't enough time to process all the paperwork before 4pmGot our completion date confirmed yesterday... and it's tomorrow!!!
Super excited, and also amazed that we managed to get everything done this fast. I only put on the offer on Feb 10th, and was lucky that both the seller, the sellers solicitor, my bank, and my solicitor were super fast at getting everything done.
The only slow part was the landlord for the building (it's leasehold), who took 4 weeks (to the day) to provide their parts. Otherwise we would have been ready to complete 2 weeks ago!
April is hopefully when we get to move. Conveyancing is pretty slow on a new build it seems. Contracts are signed already for the sale of our property though.

I'm hopeful we will be moved into our new place inside 3 weeks.
Why the hell was the broker getting involved with making an offer, you say to the estate agent i'm offering x amount. They pass it on to the client, yes or no comes back. If yes, pass details of lawyer and get their details.Well it looks like we're in a bit of a pickle. I was unaware in Scotland I could put in an offer myself and mortgage broker certainly implied he had to do it. Another offer accepted on the house we were interested in and we're back to looking at houses again. And, as if that couldn't be any worse, I'm currently in consultation for redundancies at work (although not unduly worried) , AND son has a disciplinary tomorrow where I'm expecting him to be sacked as he apparently punched someone at work this morning and was sent home today. We got our AIP from the broker yesterday afternoon!

You'd think so but some minor issues have cropped up. Nothing I don't think can't be overcome but still annoyances. And I wasn't aware they can only loan up to the home report value as we offered £7k over and need to come up with that alongside the deposit.
