I would argue how bad the ‘need’ for these is though. Extra frames that no one will notice in reality and some extra shiny RT surfaces that again no one will notice outside of screenshots. My 7900XTX carries 4K just fine. Nice to have sure, but I’m not sure I enjoy gaming enough anymore to warrant that price. I’m just getting old and grumpy though :p

Well this is a bit of a no brainer for me, its been 20 years since I played Oblivion so much of its content has faded from memory but I easily topped 100 hours in it, so I'm buying this for a re-run :)

The 7900XTX was great, but my cables ended up being a mess when I switched my console TV over to use the PC also and the 5080 just wasn’t worth changing to. There’s also the added bonus of native 4K in all games at the moment. Nowhere near cost effective though, very much an impulse purchase. With the ridiculous GPU market I’m also losing almost nothing on the 7900XTX.

You may as well save some fps and disable RT then, because you won't notice it in game ;)

Something weird with the latency. Showing near 80 with upscaling off.
DLSS quality ranging 30-50ms
 
Buy this when it gets a lot cheaper or mod my existing copy of the original?

I loved playing this game years back but recently re installed it and had that moment where nostalgia hits the realisation that the graphics are.... well... somewhat lacking in the games original, un modded, state in 2025, especially the facial animations.

I'm not on game pass and not shelling out £37+ for a game this old, remastered or not.
