General Darts Thread

Van Veen played his final against Littler, back to his usual level against MVG. Fair play toVG, been great in pretty much every match so a deserved winner. Let’s see how he does on Thursday in the Premier League.

What is it with players tinkering with their darts all the time
This seems to be a fairly modern phenomenon Peter Wright being the most obvious exponent!

I don’t understand it tbh, in snooker those guys protect their cue with their life. They don’t win the Crucible one week then chuck that cue in the bin and play with one 5 grams heavier next event!

Some of it I expect is sponsors wanting their new gear on tv. Some of it is chasing perfection they’ll never find.

Some of it is playing to the venue, some venues darts behave differently

Yeah, they get really annoyed if they even have to change the til of their cue!

Just been catching up a fair bit, crazy to think MVG was close to going out in second round vs Huybrechts (Thats the margins in darts) but certainly upped his game after with a 9 darter vs Searle to.

Will be interesting to see if he can keep the levels in the Premier league on Thursday.

Evening all.

Luke Humphries v Nathan Aspinall
Michael van Gerwen v Luke Littler
Rob Cross v Stephen Bunting
Gerwyn Price v Chris Dobey

Can't call the first match, depends how nervous the Asp is I guess.

Worried for Littler tonight as MVG was on fire at the Euro's for a change.

His eyes will be well pumped up for this one

Rob Cross needs a good result tonight.

Bellower should win his match if he brings his form which has been off recently.
