The Radeon RX9070XT / RX9070 Owners Thread

I was supposed to be an owner of a 9070 xt today, unfortunately dpd have gone and messed it up yet again, this will be my last order with anyone that uses dpd fail, you can't even get hold of them on the phone and not a single update all day, gutted is an understatement

Back to VRAM manufacturer talk, my release day purchase is Hynix.

I slightly tweaked the fan profile to kick in a bit earlier as the GPU barely breaks a sweat to force it to start much so the VRAM now rarely hits 80.

Then again it's a non-XT, no doubt is a contributing factor.
For what it's worth, my Powercolor xt purchased a couple days ago has Hynix. (PC Hellhound white edition)

Your not the only one, was ment to have mine delivered today via DPD but the place I brought it from put in the wrong email and phone number so I never received a PIN number. No pin no delivery. I am so annoyed as can’t resend the pin as information is wrong.

It's not DPD's fault if the place you bought it from gave them the wrong email and phone number. Seems very odd that they would send DPD the wrong information for both.

My XFX 9070 XT Quicksilver Gaming Edition that I ordered 6 days ago for £615 also has Hynix VRAM.

My 9070XT pulse arrived today. Samsung memory which seems to be favourable but it has coil whine :( can't win them all I guess. I've not tried overclocking/undervolting yet will see if that has any effect on it

same here lol but im still happy it does what i need it to so far lol but yeah i also seem to have the dirty end of the stick luck wise lol
The 9070 has been great so fare, outside of the freesync bug which seems fixed in the latest optional driver. Performance is stellar with exceptional frame pacing and that is on an aging AM4 platform. I'm starting to plan my financial ruin looking at a 9950X3D setup :P

yeah im on a 5900x so i can see the allure of the am5 platform but ive only just updated from a 4770k just before xmas so upgrading again in less than a few months is probably a bit ott lol
seems to work overall as a system so im in no major rush to update all good so far

Be as well wait for AM6 in 2026/27 to be honest. No point jumping from that setup. I'm still on 5800X3D and I feel it's holding its own for now.

The 5900x is still a very good CPU. I've only just upgraded to a 5950x and I'm perfectly happy.

Wait for AM6.

The Nitro+ is a great card can get silly scores. I almost matched my XTX 34k, but just fell short. I reckon with some tweaking I could get 34k though.

31424 with 33789 GPU score
hmmmm, just got my nitro+ and hitting 22k graphics in timespy at stock...

Software issue hopefully, 1st scene is fine. 2nd is where perf dies (clocks throttle heavily). Power draw drops to 100 watts
