Does the power limit make much difference in fps?I think -30 is the lowest it can be set
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
I dont think 9070 xt has memory at the rear of the card?Anyone tried thermal pads on the back of the card under the backplate on a pulse? Assuming the backplate is metal of course.
Remember this dropped RTX 3090 memory temps by a decent amount.
Depends on the game and your underclock....how is a piece of string i guess.Does the power limit make much difference in fps?I think -30 is the lowest it can be set
For what it's worth, my Powercolor xt purchased a couple days ago has Hynix. (PC Hellhound white edition)Back to VRAM manufacturer talk, my release day purchase is Hynix.
I slightly tweaked the fan profile to kick in a bit earlier as the GPU barely breaks a sweat to force it to start much so the VRAM now rarely hits 80.
Then again it's a non-XT, no doubt is a contributing factor.
It’s very game dependent. I’m starting ghost of toshima later so I’ll have a play with tuning and post my results.Does the power limit make much difference in fps?I think -30 is the lowest it can be set
Your not the only one, was ment to have mine delivered today via DPD but the place I brought it from put in the wrong email and phone number so I never received a PIN number. No pin no delivery. I am so annoyed as can’t resend the pin as information is wrong.I was supposed to be an owner of a 9070 xt today, unfortunately dpd have gone and messed it up yet again, this will be my last order with anyone that uses dpd fail, you can't even get hold of them on the phone and not a single update all day, gutted is an understatement
It's not DPD's fault if the place you bought it from gave them the wrong email and phone number. Seems very odd that they would send DPD the wrong information for both.Your not the only one, was ment to have mine delivered today via DPD but the place I brought it from put in the wrong email and phone number so I never received a PIN number. My XFX 9070 XT Quicksilver Gaming Edition that I ordered 6 days ago for £615 also has Hynix VRAM.For what it's worth, my Powercolor xt purchased a couple days ago has Hynix. (PC Hellhound white edition)

Runs cooler apparently.Whats better about the Samsung memory?
I had heard that, It was more the undesirable memory comment.Runs cooler apparently.
The 9070 has been great so fare, outside of the freesync bug which seems fixed in the latest optional driver. Performance is stellar with exceptional frame pacing and that is on an aging AM4 platform. I'm starting to plan my financial ruin looking at a 9950X3D setupsame here lol but im still happy it does what i need it to so far lol but yeah i also seem to have the dirty end of the stick luck wise lol

yeah im on a 5900x so i can see the allure of the am5 platform but ive only just updated from a 4770k just before xmas so upgrading again in less than a few months is probably a bit ott lolThe 9070 has been great so fare, outside of the freesync bug which seems fixed in the latest optional driver. Be as well wait for AM6 in 2026/27 to be honest. No point jumping from that setup. I'm still on 5800X3D and I feel it's holding its own for now.yeah im on a 5900x so i can see the allure of the am5 platform but ive only just updated from a 4770k just before xmas so upgrading again in less than a few months is probably a bit ott lol
seems to work overall as a system so im in no major rush to update all good so far
The 5900x is still a very good CPU. I've only just upgraded to a 5950x and I'm perfectly happy.yeah im on a 5900x so i can see the allure of the am5 platform but ive only just updated from a 4770k just before xmas so upgrading again in less than a few months is probably a bit ott lol

hmmmm, just got my nitro+ and hitting 22k graphics in timespy at stock...The Nitro+ is a great card can get silly scores. I almost matched my XTX 34k, but just fell short. I reckon with some tweaking I could get 34k though.
31424 with 33789 GPU score
