In fairness to Lando this race, other than taking a couple more laps to get passed Max, I don't think he's done much wrong this weekend. Been faster than Oscar overall this weekend imo.

I think Lando is just fearful when coming up against Max as he knows it could end up as a DNF.

Oscar is definitely leagues ahead mentally though and I'm loving his racecraft more than anyone at the moment.

Still many races to go.

That's the big thing though, Max is still in Lando's head and holds him back whilst Oscar just finds way to find a way to make the pass happen. It may ebb and flow a bit as the season goes on but every race Oscar is ahead will probably push Lando into desperation.

His comment on the truck said a lot “people would complain if I didn’t go for it, and they’d complain if I did” or words to that effect. Shows he is thinking too much about what others think about him. He needs an Ange like Lewis :D

I think there’s a bit of that but as Ant Davidson just said, Oscar was essentially lucky that Max locked up. And it’s making him look much better for it.

And as they just said, Lando has been battered a few times by Max whereas Oscar hasn’t at all (?)

As you say long way to go, only needs a couple of poor races for Piastri and it swings back;

Only thing Oscar cares at the moment is winning races. Even his teammate doesn't look likely to beat him.

yet another example of why corner ownership rules suck, so much of the car alongside but nope, not good enough, not your corner, off the track you go :p

edit: Although looking back it does look like Max had a moment on corner entry that pushed him wider than he perhaps might have otherwise gone ? Be nice to see his steering. Looks like he went in to the corner too hot causing the little wobble on entry.
