NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Just dropping in to say how happy I am with the Ventus 5090 that I got from OC a week or so ago - have just installed it in my new build (see sig) and there is zero coil whine, whisper quiet fans, idles at 30c and tops out at 68c gaming at 4k, 120fps.
Same thing. No coil whine at all. Have you tried to undervolt?

Interesting. I had my one develop a little within a few days and I felt louder than my Astral so didn't see the point in keeping it to watercool...
Interesting to note Palit seems to be pretty clear on warranty stickers and dismantling the card voiding the warranty. Obviously some ways around it but it's an easy get out for them, even if taking the fan off to water cool is not connected with any fault.

Very temped by the Palit 570TI, I'd would be upgrading from an OG 3080 10Gb, card still runs well for the most part but I noticed that I was maxing out my VRAM in Crysis Remastered which surprised me, would be nice to have 16Gb VRAM for peace of mind, if I sell my 3080 for around £250 that I'm paying £479 for the upgrade?

You'd maybe get a little more than 250 quid if you sold on here.

But it's not a bad upgrade considering the current market.

Add me to the Ventus list — I think we got in on the same drop.

Very happy with it; no coil whine that I can tell, very quiet when idle, can’t hear it when gaming unless muted, and great performance. I’ve undervolted and overclocked the memory, and I now have a Steel Nomad score of 15,114, which is better than the stock score of 14,175 when I first got it.

sounds good mate. What did you undervolt it to ?

Quick undervolting question for someone more knowledgeable than me. What affects the power usage of an undervolt profile? Say a 5090 can get 900mV at both 2700MHz and 2850MHz, will the 2700MHz undervolt use slightly less power, or does it solely depend on the mV?

the cooler on this card is massive with great cooling performance and low noise.
Thanks for bringing Palit 5090s to us, Gibbo!

To go with that card, I'd really like a Heatkiller V Ultra waterblock. But OC only lists Heatkiller V Pro (as pre-order). Any reason you did not include the Ultra? The difference is only 30 eur at the manufacturer's website and they seem to have identical availability dates indicated.

Picked up the Palit 5090 and really pleased with it! General question on these cards, are there any legit elbow power connectors for 5090s yet, as it's a bit of a squeeze with the as-supplied cable? Seen plenty available, but given some cable "issues" on these things wondered if there was a good proven one that can be trusted.
