Hi guys,

Hope all is well! I'm not very well versed in building a PC myself but I would like to buy a PC which will run World of Warcraft on max settings with no issues (classic, so the game which is super old)

I imagine this won't take a super powerful GPU but would be nice to have an all round PC which could run more modern / demanding games if req (thinking about GTA next year)

Just to reiterate, would be looking for a pre built machine, I already have a monitor so this can be disregarded from the budget.

Otherwise, PC will just be used for browsing the web and emails / work.

Thanks in advance!

What resolution will you be gaming at ?

Good question and sorry for not stating in my original post, I'm currently using a old Dell Monitor (22 inches i think) at 1920 x 1080 but actually also have an expensive larger monitor which is the

This is a self-build, but I'd try and get a spec similar to this. An X3D CPU, with a 5070, 9070, 5070 Ti or 9070 XT. If you're playing at 1080p, I'd definitely want the X3D and if you're playing at 4K, I'd be reluctant to go much lower than the GPUs listed.

A 5060 Ti 16GB is available in many of OCUK's builds and that's fine for 1080p and acceptable for 4K, but not my first choice.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me and list all those options, really appreciate it.

Unfortunately, as per my message I am looking for a pre-built machine.

Check the specs from @Tetras and @Freddie1980 then look in the systems pages. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-systems/gaming-pcs

I replaced the RTX 4060 with a RTX 5060 Ti 16Gb and upped the storage to 2Tb's. If you wanted to save money you could take the OS off and buy a key from a 3rd party and install it yourself.

Thank you so much, no need to save money, work in sales and had a very good week so I'll go for this setup you have recommended. Shall look into it in finer detail this evening but shall order over the weekend and come back to you with any questions before I press purchase. Thanks so much again

If you do decide on the 5060 Ti make sure it's the full 16Gb version, DON'T get the 8Gb version under any circumstances as the lower memory buffer can really hamper performance and cause either stuttering or textures not load in properly.

this one? *Build* Asus GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Dual OC 16GB GDDR7 Graphics Card

Comes to £1565

If so, shall order ASAP with the updated GPU and SSD

Is it worth upgrading the RAM for £30?

if you haven't already ordered, then ocuk will do a custom spec build with a build charge on top
i've budgeted the build cost into the spec and hence why there is some room left in the budget
as it will be an ocuk-built pc, you will also benefit from their 3 year warranty (basically why you paid them £250 or so to build it)
you can get windows 11 for a lot cheaper, hence why i have not specced this into the build below

Thanks Tamzzy, really appreciate you taking the time - Tetras, can I ask how the two builds compare? The one shared by you and the one by Tamzzy, factoring in the upgraded RAM

Is the change in graphics card recommended?

Also, how do I place an order for a custom build please?

The 5070 is roughly 30-40% faster than the 5060ti 16gb off the top of my head.

Better PSU by a fair margin, OCUK prebuilds tend to chuck bronze Kolinks into everything and they're not great power supplies.

The 9600X is on average around 5% faster than the 7600X CPU wise, but there are scenarios where games can see between 20-30% uplift.

Faster RAM, which will be beneficial to the CPU's performance.

@tamzzy has detailed a superior build by a fair margin for what should be a similar price as compared to the OCUK prebuild linked above. The only real down side is that you'll need to contact OCUK to get them to build, and whatever potential added wait time for them to put the system together. Obviously you'll need to install Windows yourself, but that's super easy and can be done via USB while saving you a small fortune to boot.
