NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

I have the Extreme running an undervolt and it’s really quiet. Can’t hear it over my CPU AIO and that’s not particularly loud.

That’s in a Fractal Design 7 case which isn’t the biggest but it’s certainly not SFF either.
Isn't that the more expensive variant of the zotac?

Cheers just working who is the coolest / quietist Cheapest 5090 i can get
If we are talking the coolest and quietest 5090 card easily and by far is the Asus Astral. If you are talking about the coolest and quietest and cheapest it comes down to 2 maybe 3 contenders. The Msi ventus. It the only card I have read where person haven't said it was loud. I have not had the pleasure of testing it yet so have no base comparison.

If we are talking money no object whihc is air cooled then it the asus astral if you can get one without coil whine. I know a lof reviewers like to do noise normalise test. But when I tested it I was using a fan control curve 1C for 1%. Basically if your card is at 50c then the fan spins at 50% and so on. It allows me for my own testing purposes to really hear how loud a card gets when it under full load and how well it cools under full load. And on this premise alone the Astral was my fave.

Thank you. It's the more the fact I don't need fancy RGB or monitoring and just wanted a budget version with semi decent cooling. There seems to be a massive gulf to pay for better cooling and quieter fans. I mean from £2100 to £3000 so that's £400 to £900 for a better cooling system. Madness

I would just buy the Zotac Solid for £2100, pray it has little coil whine and undervolt it. Put that £800 in a 4-5% interest earning bank account and put it towards the 6090 :D

If the noise of a card really bothers you then deshrouds it and slap on a few notcua's or whatever.
I hope i’m still around here to judge you then :*
Judge not, that ye be not judged.

There is only one thing I love more than collecting 5090's and it's white 5090's.

:P

The coolers are the same. Don’t buy the AMP Extreme version unless you want to pay £350-400 extra for questionable RGB.

I got it as part of a custom build for £2140, it was the cheapest that was available at the time, via the system builder, and it was cheaper than anything else I could find as I missed the first two FE drops unfortunately.

No complaints from me with the card, and as my new case doesn’t even have a window on it, the best part is that I can’t even see it!

What we need is a budget rtx5090 faceoff so the gamerock v the MSI ventus Vs zotac solid oc

Based on their coolers I'd rate the Solid and Gamerock as similar performance for cooling and noise, with the Ventus running a touch hotter and louder due to smaller cooler.

Dis-regarding price Zotac is best buy due to cooler and warranty, but at moment GameRock tends to be cheapest with good availability and is currently our best selling RTX 5090 with around 500 units sold in last two weeks.

I did a lot of parsing forums and looking at reviews last month to compare just these cards. All corrobrated what Like Gibbo says, 1) Solid (best cooler/tems and longest warranty with registration), 2) Gamerock, 3) Ventus. But they're quite close.

I would buy the gamerock purely on the fact it has obnoxiovision (trademarked) that level of RGB alone makes it the greatest card known to mankind.
