Can we change the thread title to "SexyGreyFox is alive and well" please, it's like seeing a David Attenborough story on thew news.
"Oh god, is he ok... oh good he is"
well he did give up band performances only to find band retirement is dull and so last time I saw him post it was in the guitar thread and he was back with new gear.
Hope he’a ok. \m/
Well tell him to get his arse on here and explain himselfHe posted in Facebook 16h ago, appears to be fine.
It's weird how I've barely interacted with him on the forums but becasue I've been on here so long I know his real name and the name of his old band so I can just go and stalk.
Thank you! I was reading this thread thinking to myself 'What was his old username?", so glad you postedI offended dmpoole once
Did anyone mention something about the pyramids yet that normally gets him engaged to tell us which ones he has visited, which one he paid a local guide to take him in that he wasn't supposed to etc.
Well, I had a moment with a cyclist this morning on the way in to work, could see from a mile away he was one of those "I'm a road user too so I'm going to cycle to the right of the lane so nobody can get past because I'm a cyclist and a road user and just as important as everyone else" - what he didn't factor in is that on my motorcycle, I don't need much space to get past. So I passed him on the right, but due to his road positioning, I almost brushed against him. Hundred meters or so down the road I'm at a red light, he comes past me and murmurs something so I pipe up "what's that?" which he obviously wasn't expecting. His response was that I came past way too close, so I told him I went past in the usual manner I pass everyone. He still insisted that I was too close so I told him to go read the highway code about road positioning, particularly the "keep left unless overtaking" part. He then cycled off. I went past him again, and stopped at the next light, where he promptly went straight through red. I caught him at the next light again and said he'd just lost all credibility as a road user by not adhering to the rules.
I then also told him he doesn't pay road tax so should wind his neck in and behave like the third rate citizen that he is.
so I told him to go read the highway code about road positioning, particularly the "keep left unless overtaking"
That's not the advice in the highway code though. It states a cyclist should cycle in the middle of the road. You cycle too close to the kerb and you'll have drivers trying to do dangerous overtakes.
As someone who rides motorcycles you should be aware of riding defensively.
Can I blame only having one coffee?I think you missed the point in my post![]()
