Wirtz was supposedly at anfield Tuesday with his parents according to kicker.de only noticed as it was reported by daveockop

Doubt it’s true but if so would be a big signing

Kicker are supposedly decent. But I can't see where he goes given he's 120ish million (?) Would have thought that would be better spent elsewhere.. unless we've an obscene amount to spend this sunmer

Unsure myself but I see Slot moving few on to generate more funds as well.

I don’t think he rates quite a few hence lack of rotation from us during season.

RB,LB has to be priority over all though. I think Nunez and Jota could both go fetching decent sums possible least 80m between them so would add to a big buy like a Wirtz perhaps
 
I like Wirtz but I dont for a moment think we are seriously in for him, just cant see us spending that much on that role of player when we have a bunch of others to get too

Whether it amounts to anything remains to be seen but I think it's quite clear that the interest is genuine based on where these reports are coming from. If there was no truth to it then they'd have been rubbished by now.

The interest surprises me not because of the finances involved but because of the importance of Szoboszlai to Salah's role in the side. Re the money, FSG don't work like most fans believe. There's never a set budget for any given season. If the players the club wants are available then they'll front load their spending and cut back later, as we done in 17/18 and 18/19 - we had a net spend over those two seasons of £230m odd (and then didn't spend the season after) at a time when the clubs revenue was less than 2/3's of what it is today.

This signing and our interest in Wirtz has really thrown me. Salah admitted what we could all see, he doesn't defend as much as he used to and that puts more pressure both on our RB and Szobo to make up for that so to end up with an even more attacking RB than we started with and be in for a 10 that's not a running machine like Szoboszlai has left me scratching my head a bit.

I hope we're in for a defensively minded midfielder anyway but with these two moves/links I hope so even more. I also wonder whether the Wirtz interest could mean we might not be in for a striker too. I know in pre-season Slot played Jones & Szobo as double 10's and then done it again away to City in the League. Maybe we're going to end up with Salah and whoever on the left playing really high up the pitch with a box midfield behind them.

I get Wirtz throwing you but why Frimpong? Young, can score and assist like Trent and fits FSG model.

We always needed a right back even if we promote Bradley as first choice anyway

Because he's not (or at least barely) played as a RB in years. Leverkusen play with a back 3 and wingbacks and he's a very attack minded wingback. To play such a forward minded player as a RB in a back 4 would be adventurous enough as it is but when we know Salah won't be offering him a great deal of protection either, it seems pretty risky if you ask me.
 
Its either him or dumfries as rb for the national team but he's also played the 'salah position' for the Netherlands. I tell you he's replacing salah as he's moving to be our number 9 :p
 
Just a thought could Frimpong be coming in as Salah cover and ultimately replace him when Salah does leave for the Saudi leagues, meaning Bradley remains at RB, maybe with one other coming in?
 
Slot likes players that can do more than one role and Frimpong fits as could cover Salah wing position etc if injured or rotation etc. Makes sense to me

Cheisa looks like he is heading back to Seria A with Napoli leading chasing according to Twitter (Just referencing for you BaZ :p)

Never got going for us at all I’d of liked to have seen more some how
