thats not finished yet, its just wrapped to be watertight and theres no cheap materials used either...... OSB Zero isnt cheap and neither is the metal roof.
absolute nonsense.... people on here are not fitting cedar shingles or proper thick timbers. The timbers i have used are exactly the same as in the garden room build pack available online that people are using. stop trying to justify spending were its not needed. i also double studded and double top plated for extra security of the roof, walls and panels.

If you want to justify the price to yourself, i above no problem with that... but those costs are abhorrent
Its only total nonsense in your head. You seem ignorant to the fact that high quality materials and a superior aesthetic result, proper livable garden room will cost a lot more than your shed and that is just a simple fact. I can only assume you are being deliberately obtuse here.
the actual framing for a garden room is no different in the framing for any building or shed. The only difference is the finished cladding, its just fact. even adding thermal to the walls and then plaster boarding would not cost an additional Circa 9k or even 6K if you took bifold doors into account.
I built my own from scratch many years ago now. Still standing thanks. I'm just trying to explain to you how things can cost more. Also they don't all use the same framing at all, many of the more expensive ones actually use proper interlocking logs or thick timbers think 70-100mm with no frame at all like a proper log cabin. Just another nuance to the world of garden rooms, not everything is cheap even if you build it yourself.
i used 100mm timbers.... so again, no different. and not all garden rooms are interlocking logs
Its like speaking to a brick wall in here. You used 100mm framing timber, you didnt use 100mm interlocking logs. There is a world of difference here between that and what you did which is screw some OSB to some frame work but it seems you will never grasp it.
i also said, people on here that i have seen building them...which yuou seem to have glazed over in the communications. not one person that has showed a build on here has used interlocking logs, they have used standard framing timber. Goes to show that some people only see what they want to see.
I've never seen anyone on here spend £10k and the end result is a shed like yours tbh. I'd be laughing all over that.

I've not gone off on any rant, i've simply said better materials cost more, a lot more than what you have used and you didnt like it very much.
for the build i have used the same materials that garden rooms are being sold with...not more, not less. Finish materials are different but i could still finish it like a garden room and spend waaaaaaaaay less money..... theres is no difference in build quality
