The Diddler

I'm no Diddy fan but I find Cassie and the charges to not be at all credible. She essentially prostituted herself to have a rich boyfriend. The whole coercion angle is a nonsense. She could have left and got a normal job at any time, she instead chose to have an extravegent lifestyle paid for through her own prostitution. And now she has regrets about what she did but where's her own sense of accountability?

I'm sure he has done som illegal activities, but is this really a crime?

Ironically the Cassie abuse angle is not key to the case; that has already been settled outside court when Diddy paid her $20 million to drop her case.

This new case is from the Feds and the only reason Cassie is there is because the court has ordered her to provide evidence.

The actual charges for this current case are:

sex trafficking
racketeering
transportation to engage in prostitution

None of these charges hinge on whether Cassie was a willing participant in activities

I do realise this but have valid defenses:

sex trafficking - it's his girlfriend who willingly consents

racketeering - organized crime involving a coordinated scheme or operation to repeatedly make a profit through illegal or fraudulent means - does it sound like this?

transportation to engage in prostitution - again it's his girlfriend and he's paying a bloke on his behalf to perform with her. It should be noted the Man Act was largely created to send the first black heavyweight boxing champion to jail, in Jack Johnson. It's a nonsense crime

You also have to ask on this basis of these charges how every US porn company isn't under charges

Did one of Diddys pros try to shoot Trump at a golf course?

You have to feel for Cassie and her family - even if she was initially into this fetish.

About those charges
He goes through them and explains why he thinks the prosecution is doing a good job. I know he is/was a lawyer and I think he was a prosecutor at some point .

Forgot about the raid last year on his house where they found firearms with scratched off serial numbers. bet that went towards the criminal enterprise charges nicely.

agree you with that statement for real

one of the escorts is outed now

Dearing has seemingly backed Ventura's claims, describing in the interview how she was like 'a drone' during the parties, which the former escort says took place at both the Beverly Hills Hotel and a private condo on Los Angeles' famed Sunset Boulevard.

He said that although Combs 'never touched me,' he and Ventura engaged in sexual activity 'under his direction.'

He claimed Ventura refused to speak when the rapper would leave the room, describing how he when he once tried to ask her question, the singer replied: 'No, no, no. Not until he gets back.'

The model suggested Ventura did not want to participate in the 'Freak Offs,' claiming that her demeanor would change when the sessions turned 'dark.'

'You could see that it was kind of like the spirit was leaving the body,' he told People.

Dearing also claimed there was a 'knowing and understanding' that Ventura would face 'consequences' if she didn't follow Diddy's orders - but also admitted he did not know what those consequences were.

He added that he wants 'what's best for [Ventura]' and 'I want her respect first and foremost.'

sounds like he should be charged with rape and an accomplice IMO

how could he carry on knowing she clearly wasnt a willing participant.

she probably had stockholm syndrome kinda thing going on, but he attended and did it of his own free will

Jury has a verdict on four counts but can’t decide on racketeering. Strikes me that racketeering was probably the most difficult to prove. Does that suggest they have found him guilty on the others?

Yes this is what experts are saying - that if the four more minor charges were all not guilty then the major racketeering charge would not be holding up the jury right now - the fact that the racketeering is holding it up, means they've found him guilty on at least some or all of the more minor charges and now they're deciding if he's guilty on the worst charge

So Diddy is definitely looking at jail time, it's only a question of how much now

Out of interest the more "minor" charges that he's probably been found guilty on some of them are:

Sex-trafficking of Cassie Ventura - a minimum of 15 years and maximum of life in prison

Transporting individuals including but not limited to Cassie Ventura to engage in prostitution - a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison

Sex-trafficking of Jane* - a minimum of 15 years and maximum of life in prison

Transporting individuals including but not limited to Jane to engage in prostitution - a maximum of 10 years in prison

And the Rackateering charge they are still debating - maximum life in prison

so depending on how this shakes out, Diddy could be looking at

* no prison time (unlikely)
* less than 10 years in prison
* 15-25 years in prison
* life in prison (unlikely)

The most likely outcome I think is somewhere between 5 and 20 years prison

And of course after this trial many others are going to try and take up civil suits against him to get money from him so it's going to cost him money and time

Yeah when the literal government puts up a case against you, it's not gonna go well.
